Blu Starter Kit - is this garbage or what?? (also Krave)

Depends on how much you smoked. I was a 2 pack a day smoker and started off on 24mg ejuice.

I started with 24mg I am now at 6mg. I tend to smoke low mg because I do a lot of lung hits. I thought that 24mg would satisfy me but lower mg and lung hit did the trick for me.

Yeah. I'm down to between 6-12mg at this point. 6 is my target.

When buying Juices don't be scare to try new things. I started off with 100% PG off 1 flavor that I loved, then I bought a couple of other different nicotine flavor, not everyone is the same. A friend of mine started off at 12 but he is up to 36.

So funny to read through this thread...I bought a Blu starter kit years ago and it didn't do much for me so I kept on smoking. Now I've finally made the decision to drop the analogs--but, I know this time to skip the blu's and go right to a higher quality set up. Worth it in a huge way...I'm three weeks cig free today!

Blue was a good place to start but it really didn't stick once bigger and better became the way. It was a nice introduction to vaping.

Note - The blu battery quality has seemed to go down over the years. dunno what's up with that.

Started with Blu and did quit smoking. Usual complaints with them as others, but kept with them for 2 months. Then got an Ego Twist. That is what made the difference for me. Now, i've moved on to other stuff.

I should also mention I haven't tried any of Blu's newer products either so don't mean to write them off altogether I guess they can work great for some...and if they are a gateway product for vaping they serve a good purpose overall IMHO.

I'd agree, Blu starter kits are a waste of money. On the other hand, it's what got me to quit analogs (since they were available at the gas station on sale) and look for better equipment so I'll always have a special place for them as they sit in the closet and collect dust. They had a good 1 week run. I've since moved on to a Halo G6 (great if you're looking for something similar in size to an analog) and most recently an evod setup.

How come no one has suggested VV batteries? I love my eGo style batteries, but I think that suggesting VV is somewhat important. This kit is more expensive, but you're getting genuine Joyetech, or Vision batteries, and you don't have to wait for it to ship from China:

I'd probably go for the 650 or 900mAh batteries, and the EVODs.

EDIT: If you don't know what VV is, it's variable voltage. You can dial in on the taste/vapor production that you want. Also, you'll probably want to buy some extra EVOD head/coil assemblies - until you get the itch to start rebuilding your own.

So I ordered this setup w/650 and 1000mAh ego twists and 2 Kanger EVOD.. the fasttech setup XENU2112 posted looks like a great deal but i was too impatient to wait a week ..

Meanwhile, trudging along trying to make the BLU Prem100 setup work on the one battery has been miserable and frustrating.
I picked up a couple BLU disposables in the interim.. and just wanted to reiterate for anyone new reading this thread - that the BLU kits are CRAP compared to their disposables (tho the box it comes in is quite nice ) The disposables at least function. I will suffice on those til the eGo setup arrives.
