Hey guys,

A few months ago I purchased a Blu starter kit, which I guess is threaded in 510. I have, before this, smoked a couple gas-station e-cigs, the VPUR, and the njoy. I'm currently looking to step into the big-boy world of e-cigarettes with a new device.

Per someone's webpage, Daboom, I think, I became interested in the KR8 series. I understand this shares threading with the Blu which as far as I am concerned is a plus, but not very important.

I'm looking for something where the total "package" if you will, is similar to the Blu. Something that includes a PCC, multiple batteries, etc. I am not a huge fan of the "fat" batteries, despite the apparent benefits of increased battery life.

I also want something where the cartridges can be easily filled. I'd like a good throat hit on inhaling.

I understand this whole "package" may have to be sourced from multiple websites or retailers, and I am fine with this.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

This is what I'm looking at: Vapor King Ultimate Ultimatum Starter Kit - Our best-selling vaporizer cigarette starter kit! My understanding is that it's essentially the KR8 model rebranded.

Thanks for reading my stuff!

I don't think the blu is Kr8-compatible, but that doesn't seem to be a concern for you. And the "whole 'package [does not] have to be sourced from multiple websites or retailers."

The Kr8-compatibles (especially the new generation) are an excellent set of models. My current favorite is a bit different than the standard units: CigEasy's Elite 808 ($50 for full kit), which I recently reviewed. It is slightly wider and longer than the standard Kr8 (e.g., Vapor4Life's Vapor King), but much more slender than the fat batts.

[Elite 808 (on top) and standard Kr8 (below it).]

Similarly, its 380 mAh is slightly more than the standard Kr8's 280 mAh, but nowhere as high as the 650+ fat batts. However, the two batteries in the kit (i.e., 760 mAh) get me through a workday without any problem. The 2 ml cartomizers are greater capacity than the regular Kr8 cartos and are perfectly matched to 380 mAh batts (i.e., refill the carto or swap in another one when you recharge or switch batteries).

The cartomizers are not prefilled, so you will need to buy some e-liquid - from CigEasy and/or from any of the scores of suppliers specializing in e-liquid.

There is no PCC for the Elite. If that is something you definitely want - or if you would prefer a smaller e-cig - I recommend Smokeless Image's VOLT. It's virtually identical to the more expensive Bloog Maxx Fusion that I raved about in this review earlier this year. A complete VOLT kit including smart PCC is $65.

Selecting the 65mm batteries would get you an assembled e-cig 103mm in length (as shown in the photo immediately above). The 78mm batteries yield the same size e-cig shown in the bottom of the first photo.

VOLT cartomizers come either prefilled or blank and Smokeless Image does sell the same e-liquid that is used in the prefilled cartos.
