Blue Chiclets (Pepsin)

Been searching around for info on this gum flavour I really like.
Figure the pros here will be my best resource on this.

I've read winter-mint, wintergreen etc. etc. are close.
My experience is, while they're good, nothing is quite like the blue Chiclets
flavour.

Have any of you fine DIYers had any success in replicating
this old Chiclet gum flavour?

Anything close?

What flavourings do I need so I can DI myself?

I've read it may come from pigs guts(Beemans gum had a pic. of a pig on it!)
...does that mean it's too oily/greasy.

Its one of my fav's too along with teaberry which is quite similar if not the same, and that I have seen, but sorry, can't remember where at the moment. I THINK it may have been Loranns, but only in the larger size which may be why I didn't get it, but my memory is crap, sorry! If you do find out anything definitive, I would love to know too!

Thank-you CharlieGirl, yes Loranns has the Teaberry, 1oz size too.
Now I'll need to put together a few items to make an order...lol.

I see you're in Lehigh Acres. I was there around 1975 on a vacation with a young school buddy,
staying at his grandparents place and touring the state.(Disney, Cypress Gardens etc.)
Caught my first few garfish outta the canal in their backyard, that's one scary, toothy fish!
Had a blast swimming and such, nice quiet little place. Hope it hasn't changed much. (37yrs, yeah, right!)

I sent Linda at TFA a pack of Beamans gum over a year ago and she felt it was wintergreen but I mix a bit of absinthe in and find it is close.
Not quite right, but very close. MY favorite gum!
