ived used the blue foam and Ive always had a problem of getting the liquid on my lips and in my mouth. Mabye im pulling to hard but what ive found that works great for me is woman's cleaning puff, used to clean there face. They seem to work better (for me) because the fibers seem more dense and seems to hold the liquid better. Just a matter of opion. Ive used blue foam, spring mod, coil mod, and I find the cleaning puffs seem to work best. They are made fully of poly so no problem with burning no bad taste either. Just seem to be more dense than the stock foam in the carts.

Hmmm... yeah... well toasters don't have nic juice (too bad? lol). The juice has a lower boiling point and must carry some heat away with it. Kind of like how you can boil water in a paper cup... until the water is gone, then the cup goes up.

OTOH, I've wondered if hot "spots" could still develop, etc. and have wondered about VG producing nasties too. So far, from what I have read, this is not the case. But, I don't trust the "VG is more natural" nor the "aquarium stuff is good" logic. Arsenic is natural too but I don't suggest you vape it. Same reason I don't use cartos.. I've seen burnt "carto insides" pictures. Since I'm off tobacco I'm trying to keep it as "clean" as possible. I like to see that it is not burning, so I use carts.

That said, I have not seen any data that suggests that blue foam, PTB, polyfill burns in carts. High-volt/watt guys may be an exception. Check the cart and see if any material is missing, don't trim it and stick it in the atty without making sure it is clean/free of little particles. Don't twist it on the bridge and "grate" it on the wire wick. The bridge doesn't seem to get too awful hot, but who knows? The little "wick fibers" in an atty might burn too. Hmmm....

I'd say monitor it and keep it "clean". I hope, when the scientists/FDA lose the attitude and do proper testing and monitoring, they find that it is safe, or at least much safer. And I hope they test with a typical Atty/batt combination. Maybe they will test with blue foam, PTB, high-voltage, etc.

Just some thoughts and my 2 cents.:2c: Ramble complete. Good luck to us all.

The "wick fibers" are high temp silicone, they don't burn. They turn dark on the outside from juice residue but can be washed clean, you wouldn't be able to wash them clean if they were burnt.

That's good to know! I was hoping something like that was the case.

LOL. Umm... Just a thought: Anyone ever do a "lead paint" test on the paint? Anyone have one of those "lead test kits" lying around? With all those child toy recalls, I'm just "ask'n".....I'm sure it's safe... always good to check tho. Since I don't vape the paint I'm not that concerned, but as long as we are discussing stuff in this thread...

And to the OP, I use PTB mod.... found it better than foam.

After being very unhappy with the carts I got with my Vapor Pro Joye 510 I've been studying the blue foam & have decided against it for now. Will keep studying this but did get a Liberty Flights Riva 510 with extra Joye 510 blank carts and they fill, wick, etc. way better than the ones that came with the VP outfit. I'm very happy with them though it makes no sense that "Joye 510" carts from 2 companies would be so different (the filler looks the same). LF only charged $3 for shipping, VP was $8.
