Tried searching around a little bit for an answer here but since the keywords are used so frequently i wasn't getting very many helpful hits.

Question is: how long can you reuse blue foam in your cart? Or in other words, how many times can you refill it with juice before the foam will lose its effectiveness? (it's a 306 cart not that that really matters as im wondering # of times, not # of drops)

also wondering if rinsing the blue foam is a must to prolong its effectiveness? as i was not planning on doing this (i don't mind/kind of like mixing the flavors i have)

what about polyfill? does that have a reuse/refill life as well?

thanks in advance for the help

You can use both blue foam and polyfil over and over until they get too gummed up for use. Sometimes the polyfil will start getting "pills" on top and I would just trim those off. Rinsing is highly suggested, not because of mixing the flavors, but to prevent "pilling" and slight singeing on the edges. It also helps keep the filler fluffed and fresh.

You can use the blue foam until it has frayed and isn't working at well. Then I cut a new plug. And rinsing works great with blue foam! You can rinse the blue foam under running water or in a little cup, then you need to pat it totally dry between some paper towel. And rinse your cart and dry with qtips or twisted paper towel. Will be like new.

You could wash and reuse either blue foam or polyfill, but the stuff is so cheap per single use it seems a bit silly to me. Blue foam works out to be about a penny per use, and polyfill is about a tenth of a penny per use if you purchase the big bag. I use blue foam for one day, toss it and start the next day with a new piece. It's cheap, easy, and more sanitary than reusing a piece of stuffing over and over again. To each their own, of course.

sorry, didn't see this. this is my logic as well. but i would like to get more than a days use out of them if possible and still as effecient (just for simplicity)

I have about 8 pieces of blue foam that I re-use over and over. I find that every few days they stop wicking as well. I put them and the cart in my ziplock baggie labeled "dirty carts", reach into my other baggie labeled"clean carts"and get replacements. About once a week, I sit down and clean, then start the process over. I usually just rinse my foam and carts, dry thoroughly, then i'm good to go. I've only thrown out a few pieces, but that was more of a problem with my cutting and shaping. Even though I gave away a third of my foam supply, I still think I have a lifetime supply.
