Blue foam mod

Make sure to rinse the blue foam out real well before using it.
Otherwise some people report a little bit of a funny taste.

But no, it definitely should not take away any flavor.

Well thats what may have happened....I didn't rinse.I will give it another go...

Ok I went out and bought some of that foam.I came home, followed the instructions in the video, put the foam in, liquid in etc. I get nothing but mouthfuls of liquid. Back to the polyfil for me.....

You should try cutting it bigger about 1/2 x 1/2

I find that cutting the foam bigger than the cart keeps it from flooding. I made the mistake of cmking it the same size of the cart and it became a filter not a wick, hahaha. The dart mod is good because it breaks the surface tension as you deplete the amount of juice in a cart. But I just cut a triangle shape instead of a square to break that surface tension and it seems to be working. cheers.

I'm waiting for my drip tips but thinking I may want to try the blue foam mod. I'm sure it's been answered a dozen times, but where can I order online? I'm about to place a juice order so I'd like to get some additional surprises this week as well.

I've been using the blue foam mod since day one (I picked it up before I got my Ego) and love it. I've tried cutting different sizes, using in different methods (plug, wedge, straw etc.) and almost every single method works just fine. I also prefer the carts as opposed to dripping, as I can go longer periods without constantly drip drip dripping. This is definitely the way to go.

You can buy it in most pet stores, but definitely Petco and Petsmart.
It is called Marineland Rite-size U aquarium filter foam.

I have had better luck with it yesterday, but I seem to get better performance with the
polyfil.I will mess around with it some more.
