First, I apologize for another thread about this blue foam mod because I know there are many videos and threads on it....

I first started using this mod on my Blu carts and it worked great. Now I have a Gemini and I did the mod on one of its carts. Sometime when I fully fill a cart up it seems that its not getting to the atty cause I get that burtn taste. For instance, last night I filled 5 carts up when I went to the bar and I wound up smoking my first analog in a week.

So.... Should I make the blue foam slightly larger then the cart or the same size of the cart. I really would appreciate your help because this is really fustrating.

Slightly larger, width wise, same size length wise.........to get into cart use tweezers to compress, due to the width. That is how I do it, works good in any PV cart.

This is something you need to play with depending on the Mod you using, I typically cut my foam a tad bigger than my cart and the same depth as my cart, however I fold it in half long ways when I put it in, so I fill my cart then take my tweezers grab my foam and install it by pushing it down soaking it then pulling it back up to the top, then drop 1-2 drops on top to top off. Experiment with it until you have it working for you

AND, if you find yourself having an issue with cart fillers in the future, keep in mind that you can just remove whatever it is that's annoying you from the cart and drip directly on the atty. A bit more inconveinient, but better than having to pick up a ciggie!!

And ALWAYS make sure you carry a small bottle of juice with you along with a spare atty and battery.

Be prepared!

I know how you feel. Things always work perfect when you are at home and have the supplies to deal with any problems. Soon as you leave the house, boom, something goes wrong.

Just last night it happened to me. Was working great, went to a party, atty dies. I bummed an analog off someone, but didn't really want to... Ok, I might have wanted to, but shouldn't have. I am in the process of putting a kit together with any spare parts I need. It's been kind of fun getting all the stuff together, but then again I am a tool and gear nerd, so that helps.

Just curious... where in NYC can you smoke in a bar?? I thought mayor Bloomberg was trying to ban it outside.

If you look at some blue foam and watch as you squeeze it between your fingers you'll see the little air gaps get smaller. That's the point of making the foam wedge shaped. So that when you push it in you'll make the gaps tinier and then the liquid won't escape. How much you should compress depends on the thickness of the liquid, the design of the cartridge, etc. I never got consistent results with blue foam myself for just that reason. For me the simple straw mod and original (or replacement) poly fiber still works best although the ZFM looks interesting.
