I have been spoiled with the blue foam mod on my 510's because it works so well.
However, on the 901's with their Whistle tip, I have been getting that icky taste sometimes, endless waiting for the juice to soak in, and the poly fill getting old very fast. :-x
I tried pulling that poly out and using just blue foam but that was very drippy.
So, I took one of my used 901 whistle tip carts and with a pair of tiny cuticle scissors was able to snip out about a 1/4 inch (still experimenting as to how far to go) of the polyfill that comes in the 901 whistle tips. I added juice and the blue foam.
Tastes great, less filling!

I may figure out the how-to-post picture on this forum at some point.
For now, you just trim away the fibers from the original whistle tip filler down about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the top.
Then you get one of the blue foam pieces and stuff it in just like it shows on the excellent blue foam mod thread elsewhere on this forum (it does have lots of detailed pics).
All I have done is create a space for the blue foam mod to work with the 901 whistle-tip carts.
I believe that part of what makes these original fillers break down so quickly is their exposure to the heat of the attys and the filler is ok the further away from where it touches the heat of the atty...hence trimming away the part closest to the heat of the atty and replacing it with the blue foam mod.
