BM sold clone as authentic

Ok , so my local BM shop has been decent to me . I have bought about 4 mods there all authentic " I double checked after this one " I recently bought a evic VT for the wife , her VTC mini took a juice bath because she is just oblivious . Well she started having trouble with her VT its not even 3 weeks old . Well Im not a big on long posts and Im on little sleep She was vapping as normal all of a sudden smoke and eletronic burnt smeel flooded my house . I ran the thing outside and into a trash can .

After i felt it wont explode I took it apart , low and behold to find out WTF . It looked like I bought a clone and a very bad on at that . bad wiring , really weird looking board . Scary battery pack .

I know its partly my fault and some ignorance thinking i was buying a real VT. But I have 3 other 100% real that I bought from there . So why would i even think to queston ..... So Im going today to see if they replace my VT or tell me to shove it .

Really - clone of a $30 box??? They'd better treat you right - or I'd stand outside on the sidewalk with the remains of a mod for a couple hours 'til they did...

Maybe they got 'em off eBay or something and didn't even know though...

Was there a scratch off authenticity label on the box so you could check on the manufacturer's site if it indeed was authentic or not?

Not sure how close it was to blowing up in her face but im glad I was home to tear it down before it had a chance . I talked to owner of shop . He said to come on Tuesday so I guess we will see. I have other mods from the shop all 100% authentic . So its weird a mod that after inspecting everything a bit is one of worst knock offs I have seen. My wife would not know better and with a baby its rare we get to vape together

I didn't even know that anyone made clones of something like that, so I googled it.
Fasttech, eVic VTC Mini Styled (clone): $31, eVic VTC Mini Authentic: $34. You save a whole $3! Who in their right mind..........?

At least FT is telling the truth on which is a clone. But yeah, $3 isn't much of an enticement.

its actually a sticker , I have one on each of my cars and kept this one for photos

I do not think clone will be much different with authentic. It looks like that clones and Chinese authentics are made on the same facility. I have iStick 30 clone, which is excellent.

Some clones are made in the same facility. They either go out the back door (employee theft), or are contract over-runs, which are sold off at a lower price.

There are a few stores in Philly that'll pass off a clone mech mod as authentic- never came across one selling a regulated clone.

went back there and one was still on shelf . It was pulled after i pointed it out . Also after seeing the insides of the one i had ... that unprotected battery in a metal case is never good .

There is a new shop right in the NE , owner is always there . He has Authentic and custom box mods . good stuff like DNA and Yifi

Partied off of Torresdale for years too.
