Hmmmm...zotzer, I could kiss you!

I didn't think it through. There are some juices out there that I really want to try, like Boba's Bounty, that I cannot because of the very high VG. The clearomizers would give me the opportunity to do that. It looks like I now need to start taking an interest in these CE2's and what not.

I don't know why my brain stopped short of seeing that. I feel like an idiot. Oh well. It's off to research I go.

They actually perform very good in my opinion, although not as good as the BMF cartos.
Just my 2c.

Here's one on my trifecta:

PS: If you think the BMF carto caps are easy to lose, you've got a surprise coming to you.

Ah, I see. Thanks. I actually like seeing the juice level, but I don't like what they look like when out-and-about. Too much like some drug-delivery medical device than a cig replacement.

Agreed! Especially after you've been vaping it a bit. Looks like a bad science experiment. Sure does taste good, though!

I've thought of getting the non-clear version, but the way I tinker with them, it would be difficult to get the silicone back into the exact right position. It's challenge enough when I can *see* it.

i just got the v-tex's and they dont work on BMF...bummer. the threading is obviously the same but the center post on the carto is too high up and doesnt touch the battery post? weird...i thought the carto was DOA until i screwed a 510-808 adapter on my ego batt and bingo...worked like a charm. bummer that it didnt work on the bloog.

That's weird. I have some vortices and all of them work great on my MF. Maybe that one carto wasn't threaded correctly. I've had that problem with some CE2s.

<--- For the idiot here...

Can someone explain to me the difference here between the available clearomizers? I am not sure which is the later tech and which is the better option.

It would take quite a long post to do so. I've tried quite a few of them now, and none have any significant advantage over the BMF cartos IMO, and most have significant disadvantages, mostly manifested in the fact that some have plastic that cracks, the seals around the base aren't good and they leak, some are VERY HARD TO FILL (requiring a syringe with a special plastic tip that loves to bend and break and not last through a pack of cartos), etc. The only real advantage is a very clean vape on the CE2s, because they have no filler at all, but the likelihood of a burnt-tasting carto is pretty high. I had 2 out of my first pack unvapeable, and 1 out of the second pack. The others were decent, but only 3 out of the 10 gives that ultra-clear taste. The rest need fiddling, and I'm not patient with them to do all that. I'm back to BMF cartos.

I have zero experience with the 'vortex' carto, though. The only real advantage I can see is the ability to see the juice level. Otherwise, it's a horizontal-coil carto with less filler than a BMF carto.

HTH.

They have an architecture very similar to BMF cartos, unlike the CE2s.
They are also extremely easy to fill.
They vape good (not BMF good, but good nonetheless). The CE2s always taste chemical to me.

I think the reason I will stick with CE2s instead of the Vortex is because I can dry burn them (using my bloog trifecta). The coil is up at the top and there is absolutely NO polyfill (just the wicks which don't burn). So, you can get all of the black gunk off of a used coil by burning it in 4 second spurts on a manual battery. Don't think you could do that with the vortex version.

And, they are really easy to fill if you pop out the silicone piece. The easiest way to do this is to attach the carto to a battery, gently wiggle off the plastic, and then push the silicone out the end with the flat part of an eyeglass screwdriver. I also use the blunt end of the eyeglass screwdriver to re-seat the silicone after I've filled the carto. Very quick and easy once you get the hang of it....easier than trying to get 50/50 juice into the Bloog cartos. :)

Ok I got my Vortex yesterday.

To the point: Don't like them.

The top cap pops off way too easy.. Im afraid it will leak. In fact, I filled it, put on the top and sit it down on a tissue and within a few seconds it was getting wet.

So I took a top from another bloog cart and stuck it in the top and pushed it down and put the other top back on.. no more leaks.. Then I realized I couldnt refill. So I spent 5 more mins trying to dig it out and pushed it down further. Yep. Wasted that one and in the trash it went.

Filled another one today and although it vapped ok I am still worried about it leaking. I had to set it upright each time I set it down. Too much work. Decided to give up on them.

I got mine in 2 days ago, and they perform very well, I get more vapor with them that any other KR808 cartomizer, BMF included.
The issue is the top can come off too easy, so no putting it in your pocket by any means.
They will be used while sitting at my desk, not for out and about use.
So far I have not had any leaks.
