I am rather new to vaping so I have been buying lots of different juices from different vendors in the hunt for the elusive daily vape. I think this instinct comes from being a brand loyal smoker, I naturally have a hierarchy of preferences for trivial differences in flavor between the various tobacco brands. The desire to find the daily vape and start to form a sort of brand loyalty is....ingrained. Democrat/Republican Raiders/Broncos....Camel/Marlboro.
I got a delivery of BMV a week ago and have enjoyed most of the offerings. Some are GREAT (Hypermint) some are marginal (Peanut Butter Cup) but they are all around a very solid vendor. In that delivery I decided to get the breakfast juice sampler which included the oft maligned Maple Bacon.
Equipment: 510 batt, Resurrector clear carto
juice:3mg BMV Maple Bacon 20/80 blend shaken and allowed to rest in dark room temp storage for 10 days.
Review: Sniffing the juice it has a surprisingly sweet odor with a hint of syrup and something not really definable. Kind of a fatty smell, organic. Not bad but unusual. On first inhalation the TH is very sharp and smokey, the flavor was undeveloped but similar to sugar coated burning hair; the exhalation did nothing to clarify. On the second hit the bacon was readily tasted, and surprisingly it was a very accurate likeness. On exhale my tongue was coated with a sweetened salt that was not altogether unpalatable. Unfortunately on exhale the maple syrup also became pronounced. Maple syrup is something I never skimp on when buying, something that store brands typically do not do justice to. Its not worth the savings of a few cents to buy a far inferior product, the cheapest I will go is shaped like a southern dressed African American woman. This maple flavor was very artificial, like a very cheap generic brand syrup. I despise this flavor almost as much as the artificial grape. Subsequent attempts to vape produced a more pronounced artificial maple flavor that I was unable to ignore so I had to stop. I enjoyed the bacon and the salty flavor but I could not continue to taste the store brand maple flavor.
Bacon flavor was very good, the maple was a let down.
TH: 11/10 (Strongest hitting vapor I have ever tried)
Vapor Production: 7/10
Flavor: Bacon 8/10 Maple 1/10
Overall: 3/10 (I would try another savory vape but the artificial maple killed it for me)
