Hi all,

I have a Riva 650 MAH battery, i've tried boge's and kangers but I find that they taste great on the first fill, but VERY Quickly the taste changes for the worst.

I am using 100% (as far as im aware) bobas bounty juice which I absolutely love in both Kangers and Boges, vapour is not a issue however I am finding after the first fill, subsequent refills only taste good per 1-2 drops. This is annoying because I am pretty much dripping every couple of puffs . Even though the carto is fully soaked, I will get great vapour just this strange burny taste, and excess liquid even drips through to the bottom of the carto because they are so full up...

Please can someone reccomend me a great cartomizer, either tank system or something else that works wonderfully with VG? Is it too good to be true a truely consistent cartomizer that I can fill and it tastes great until the end of the life of the carto, or am I forever doomed trying multiple cartomizers and never finding something that works for me :(

Close to giving up, pelase help
I am starting a new job soon and really would prefer not to carry a bottle of juice around with me... I want something reliable.

So far the only thing that has been consistent for me has been the Slim 510 battery with a 3.0 boge cartomizer, the taste stayed consistent everytime and forever. :( but the battery life is horrid on those so I really want to love my riva 650 mah

If I'm not mistaken, Bobas Bounty is an all VG juice? VG has a tendency to swell the filler and restrict the air tube in cartos, at least that's my experience. It also sounds like you are flooding your carto with juice. Try blowing it out into a paper towel and cleaning up the overflow residue in the battery. Then, don't drip juice into it until the filler turns white. If it's grey, keep vaping.

The heater coil is at the bottom of a Boge carto. As long as the top of the filler isn't white, you have plenty of juice left to drain down into the coil area. If you are experiencing hard draw, you may need to open up the air tube in the center from time to time. I use a jumbo paper clip with one leg bent out at a right angle. Insert it from the mouthpiece end and rotate the carto while pressing lightly against the side of the air tube.

Great tip! I'll try this next time.

One other thing. VG juices tend to migrate slowly through the filler. If you let it sit between vapes and stand it straight up on the battery end, gravity will assist in reloading the coil area for your next vape. You also might want to try some 70pg/30vg juice, also. It's much thinner and will work better in a carto.

Damn sorry that looks great, but I should have mentioned i'm from the UK and sadly we just don't have a very large selection of tank systems.

Does that look similar to anything here?

Cartomizer Systems

Any of those CE2 or CE3 clearomizers will work great with Boba's. I use a Vision Extreme clearomizer with my Boba's. NEW GotVapes VISION EXTREME MINI 2.5ml 510 Carto 2.5-2.7ohm 1 Pc [gv-visionEXTREMEMINI-2.5NEW] - $6.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I also found that adding distilled water to the Boba's thinned it out enough to get it to wick more easily without affecting the flavor. I use 1 drop ditilled water per 2ml of juice. Works wonders!

All cartos have wicking problems when we are dealing with 100% VG. The best thing that you can do as DaveP suggested is to let it rest for a little after a few puffs. This will allow the juice to seep throughout the wicking material. Which is more important for vertical coiled cartos like Boges or the 1.7 ohm smoktechs. The cotton piece wrapped around the coil ("diaper") is where it matters the most. This is because if it gets dry then it's the first thing that gets burnt.

If you do taste a burnt flavor with any puff on a carto then it's best to toss it away. Since that is not vapor but actual smoke then your inhaling. It's obvious on the dangers of inhaling burnt polyfill and cotton.

Also, if you were ever planning on using a carto tank. Then it would help if you punched additional holes into the carto or make the slot a lot bigger. Since this will allow more juice into the carto that will help it wick properly as well.
