Boge cart issue, bad hits!

Hi,
I normally vape using Kanger T2's and Iclear 16 presently using a Innokin VV. Very satisfied with that setup! I also have a Vamo, Groove, Gripper, and 2 rba. Still learning about rba's. Anyway, I've added a little history just to let you know my experience.
I bought two packs of Boge carts, 2.6 ohm to essentially loan out to people still smoking. Cheaper than clearos! I filled 2 carts using both dripping and the condom method, and neither hardly hits. Both give a small amount of vapor and are very scratchy. I tried switching back and forth so they don't get too hot. It's wierd, I started on carts from Apollo with a starter kit, both prefilled and eventually, empty 510 carts. I've had the occasional dud but nothing like these Boge carts. What could I possibly be doing wrong? I already returned 1 package and got a refund and the guy said he never had issues with Boge carts. I hesitate to open a third cart without some advice, as I could probably return the individually wrapped carts for refund.
I verified that they are Boge carts by the description of the cart itself, and the packaging that I found on ECF. Before sending this post, I took one of the carts and topped off...same results. It reads 2.8 ohm on the Vamo, the air hole is clear, draw is normal, and I only get a wisp. The recommended voltage is 4.1 and I've essentially tried a variety of voltages and mods. I cannot figure this out so any advice would be appreciated.

Since you haven't been using cartos for awhile you probably haven't heard about the change Boge made to their cartos. 1) the taste is different and 2) they are packed tighter so maybe you aren't filling them up enough and hitting a dry spot. The best way to make sure they are completely full is with the Taryn spin IMO. If you aren't familiar with that trick there are YouTube vids on how to do it.

I've been using a syringe to fill. While filling, I carefully poke the needle around the filler and move it back and forth to loosen the filler. I keep a hat pin in my PV case for when I don't have a syringe. I've also noticed that letting the carto sit for 2 hours isn't enough. I've been pre-filling at least a day in advance. This seems to be working for me, but like everything else, occasionally you'll get one that just won't perform well.

Judging from your post. you have done everything right, except for one thing--do you actually measure how much eliquid you put into the carto? This is important with tightly woven ones like Boge. The regular size Boge should suck up at least 25 drops (or a bit over 1 ml) on the first fill. If you just eyeball it, you may be underfilling. If you put too much, you may flood the carto. Another reason why the syring method is preferred with Boges. If your carto is properly filled with right amount of juice, grab a sewing needle and try to create some air channels between the filler and the carto wall, as Tiny suggested. Let sit for 1/2 -1 hr; that should be enough.

If you've done it all and there is no improvement, I hate to say that, but it sounds like you've got a pack of Boge cartos manufactured during "Bogegate." I have never gotten them myself, my stock is old, but I've seen a lot of complaints. Your vendor should be aware of it--send them back and request a refund or a replacement. The only way to let the manufacturer know that there is a problem is to start sending defective products back.

Good luck!
