Just my 2 cents:

I've gotten one pack of Boge 2ohm LR cartos from goodprophets and they worked like a charm. I killed one immediately as I had no idea what I was doing when I started (ripped the foam/tissue like filling out thinking this was the thing to do). So, I was down to four of which I'm still vaping on now. They were ordered two weeks ago and only filled with methol which is clear and vanilla-cream-caramel-coffee which is little darker but 15%vg.

In contrast, it seems like any carto that I put my 100%pg juice in (which is green apple and pretty clear in color) kills the performance of the carto. I understand that 100%pg isn't going to vape well (so I'll never get 100%pg again) but it also seems like it's destroying the carto. Prime example was the brand new pack of boge LR 2ohm cartos that I got from smoktek. I but the 100%pg green apple in and the carto was dead after about 15minutes. I'm not sure if it was just a bad carto or if the 100%pg actually did it but I didn't want to take the chance of adding it to another carto. I'm just wating on my new juice order to arrive.

I must add that last week was my first week vaping. I probably haven't been drippping correctly into them as I'm noticing by reading these threads... (I generally drip 12-15 drops into a new carto, let sit for 5 minutes and vape. Then I'll contantly but in 5-10 more drops after every 10-15 pulls. I take long pulls and my batter light on the ego is typically flashing as I'm finishing my draw)

Vets... should I change up my drip routine?

The impression I'm getting is that it's not unusual for a carto to lose its zest after a day or two, but last up to 2 weeks in "half-assed" mode. There are ways to extend the life, but that's a rough estimate.

as I originally posted ...

I generally use a 80/20 PG/VG blend and mostly fairly clear liquids .. I insert a round toothpick in the battery end to prevent leakage, I add 20 drops / allow to sit for a half hour, then add another 5 drops and allow to sit overnight .. I then drip two drops into the battery end and blow out the excess .. add drops from then on as needed ..

I have had up to 10 days from one Boge using this method ..

I have never had a case where the carto went into half assed mode .. at worst, it's dropped to maybe 80% of what it was new .. I discard when vapor production drops significantly or the taste gets bad or it eventually gets hard to draw .. I am using a Boge right now that is 9 days old and still sizzling .. almost as good as it was new ..

I've ordered Boge 510 cartos from two places. The ones from Liberty Flights are good, but don't last long before the draw gets tight and you have to poke and prod with a straightened paper clip to open them back up.

The ones I order from Awesome Vapor have a white tube in the center that keeps the airway open. Those last me for 7 to 10 days sometimes. They are listed as LR 1.8 ohm Boge 510 Cartos.

No disrespect to vets or otherwise, but as a "yearling" to vaping I've just come to the conclusion that attys/cartos can be a crapshoot, and cartos being cheaper, are the "best-bang-for-the buck."

I use to obsess on longevity, but now I buy a couple of five packs and toss 'em when they foul or don't work. These are "disposable" elements, as stated when you buy them, so longevity depends on usage, juice mixture, battery, and LUCK. Tonight I think I've refilled my BOGE 2.0 at least 4x's and still going strong. I've had cartos where they die in a day or two.

Some vendors do the DOA thing, some do not. Find those whose policy you can live with, or toss 'em, and buy a fresh fiver.

EVERYONE can tell you a diffrent experince with the same atty/carto, YOUR experience comes with time, experimentation and luck...Best of luck. Refillable Stainless 510 Cartomizers 2.0 ohm

Speaking purely for myself my comments were specifically about one type of carto that just lost it's ability to perform. I spoke to several vendors and they all acknowledged the issue.

It's interesting to see where all of this has gone when I think it just started off as a bad batch convo. I have seen an improvement in these items since.

Here's to hoping a bad batch doesn't eat at our vaping budgets again for a long time.
