I have used atomizer + cartridge myself and I promised to set up my brother for vaping. So, he got Joye batteries and Boge cartomizers. The problem is, there's no decent vape, no taste at all, just barely smoke. Tried 2 different batteries he bought and 2 cartomizers, no results. Same liquid on my DSE atomizer + cartridge gives great flavour and plenty of smoke so it's not the liquid. Someone told me it's because cartomizers are 2.7 ohm and not 2.0 ohm. But could the difference be this big ? Now the results I am getting for him are pretty much the same I got when I was starting out and I had a DOA atty.

This is pretty puzzling. 2 of the cartomizers I tried where left overnight with liquid, now I just tried 3rd one filling it as in condom method but nothing improved. To get any smoke I have to click battery on and blow for seconds still... no taste. Somehow I don't think it's the cartos. But what a stroke of bad luck if both batteries are DOA.

Sometimes the contact on the battery gets pushed in and makes little to no contact. If you have fully charged the battery and you filled the cartos right, you should be getting vapor. Try getting a pin in between the threads and center battery post and prying the contact just a little, If you wiggle it slightly, it's enough. you don't want to pull it up and disconnect it from the wire. The slightest movement will do.

Try one of the cartos on your battery.

I would have but the Boge cartos do not match my battery (DSE-901T).

Also try your atty cart combo on his batteries and see if they work. If they do I'd try boge 2 ohm cartos

The same thing with this, they are not compatible.

What batteries are you using?

Batteries are "Joyetech 90mm (Long) Joye 510 Manual Mega Battery" and I have 2 of these, neither one is working.

If you using the Joye 510, DO NOT use the 2ohm cartomizers on it. Those tiny batteries can't take LR's. The switch will fry in no time. If you are using the eGo, then the 2ohm will work great.

Cartomizers are standard, 2.7 ohm.

Regardless of what anyone else does, LR cartos are not meant for slim batteries. You could damage the batteries and you may also not be getting the full effect of them on batteries they are not meant for. Slim ecigs should be using standard resistance which is around 2.5 to 3 ohms. Batteries 450mah+ and mods can use standard resistance stuff or lower ohms stuff, though anything below 1.7 ohms has a small chance of damaging/killing mass produced encased batteries (Ego etc) and some will only go lower on mods.

That said, you can use whatever you want, but I wouldn't be suggesting other people do it.
