Boge cartos in a glass tank - does it matter if they have one punch or two?

Much depends upon the thickness of your juices. 50/50 pg/vg, or more pg, will wick fine with only one hole. Thicker juices with more vg than pg "might' need an additional hole. Give the one hole a try before jumping the gun.

It's not a bad idea to have a carto punch tool in among your vape supplies. These can be purchased for $4 -6 at most e-cig vendor websites. These do vary in the quality of the type of hole that they make, and much depends upon the material of the punch's tip.

As you pointed out about tool-punched cartos, I'm not a fan of punching all of the cartos (as opposed to laser-drilled holes) you use, as the majority of punch tools deform the carto's steel tube from round to oval. Passing the deformed carto through the endcaps is wearing on the o-rings and can lead to juice leaking between the carto and the tank onto your battery device.

Bad I find I both agree and disagree with you on this post.

I agree that if you can get away with not punching yourself you should for all the reasons you list.

I disagree on one hole wicking well enough with thicker juices. I vape 50/50 and 60/40 and I find even the pre done 2 hole boges do not wick well enough for my juices. I always end up adding a hole myself.

I have been using the Boge single hole LR cartos for a while. I like them. I find the 1 large hole wicks well for me. I am not sure about the PG/VG ratios of all my juices though.

I also got the Ikenvape V2 laser punched cartos. When I bought them I thought they would only have the 1 hole like the Boges, but they have 2 large holes. They work great as well. No flooding or gurgling. Honestly i can't tell the difference between them.

Here is the hole punch I bought. It is a POS. Deforms the carto so bad, they don't fit past any or the end caps of my tanks.

Oh I almost forgot! My new Phiniac is waiting at post office. Yippee! They had nice friday 13th discount; and the following monday its custom made and waiting for pickup! Guess this should be duped over to positive reviews! I ordered the XL in indigo with gold sandblasting.
