Boge f16 question

Kinda new to cartos and I started with the F16 tank and now have 2 glass carto tanks that use non flanged cartos.

Dumb question but can I use my non flanged cartos in my old f16 tank?

You can certainly use a non-flanged carto in a F16 tank. It will fit just fine and, provided the inner o-ring on the tank is in good shape, it will not leak. I do it all the time. Just don't forget that you no longer have a flange that stops the carto from sliding up or down. For example, if the drip tip is stuck on and you pull hard to get it off, the carto will come along for the ride. Can be messy if the tank is full!

Ok thanks for confirming that hazozita. When this flanged carto is done in this tank I will look at the oring and make sure it is up to par, if not I could change it to a beefier one

I was thinking the flange was to help seal the bottom oring or something. I never really looked at it closely when I put this tank together.
