With your cut down foam "cap" you can try the "spring mod". Dig up a pen spring (trim if necessary) and put it under the foam inside the cartridge to keep it snug (but not smashed) against the atomizer.

I have tried it both ways with and without spring. Seems to work better with out spring for me. I almost gave up on blue foam till I figured out the right thickness of juice. Freedomsmokesusa and backwoodsbrew is just the right thickness for me and good juice to boot. When I used thinner china juice I flooded the atty or added too much foam and would not wick, I could never get it right

For me getting a good wicking has been the problem from day one. I like the idea of a tank no filler. Ego tanks system is out overseas soon it should be here. A user on here is working on a tank system for leo.

I have not tried but did wonder how zippo lighters wick or kerosene heaters wicks might work?

I have to admit, since the day I received my leo, I have been using blue foam. It's good. I also will do what I call a quick flick. Hold the leo by the atty (towards the tip) and flick it like a thermometer, just once, and it will force the juice down. Make sure your doing it the right way!

Yes I do the same thing.." The Flick "

How many drips without overfilling and what's this about break in time?
Just opened mine this morning and it is beautiful, but a little lackluster in performance the first hour... is this just an adjustment from an LR 306 or does it break in?
I drip 4 drops at a time (into all my penstyle atomizers). The vapor and flavor certainly will improve after a couple more hourse of break in.

The TH may not. Although the Leo atty seems to be lower resistance than the standard 801, it is not "LR" and will not be as intense an experience as the LR 306. It is a richer, deeper, more flavorful experience. And I've just found that by tweaking my nicotine level up a bit (from 12mg to 16mg in my case), I'm getting that extra kick that I was missing.

Yes, I've found 4 drops to be ideal also. Hi there Don. Thanks for the recommendation of the Leo. Very nice. I have a drip tip on the cherry red and use a cartridge on the cigar colored set up. The Leo is in my daily rotation now. It's nice to use different setups throughout the day for a varied experience. I currently rotate the Leo with an Ego/LR atty, and Tekk with a regular 306 atty or 306 cartomizer. The Leo does have a little less of a throat hit but nice full vapor and flavor.

It's always nice to see you around Don and read your post. Your info is reliable and trustworthy. Thank you. Merry Christmas.

Thanks, Sojourner, for your kind words!

I also rotate PVs ... although less than I used to. I'm so enamored by the Leo that I'm spending most of my time with it. I do know what you mean about TH. It is great for my long, lingering vaping sessions (i.e., most of the time) ... but when I want a quick, hard hit (e.g., after a meal) or during my evening cocktail, it's not quite intense enough. [I just nudged my nicotine level a bit higher, from 12 to 16mg, and that helps.]

So today, I posted a request for a Leo atomizer adapter in the Modders "Product feature and design requests" forum and in the suppliers forums for Good Prophets, MadVapes, and LiteCigUSA (those that I look to for adapters or who carry both adapters and the Leo). With a 510 or 901 to Leo adapter, we could use the wonderful Leo atty on higher voltages. [I've got my eye on a VV for myself in 2011.]

A belated Merry Christmas and premature Happy New Year to you! And, in a few days, I hope to see you in the Veterans forum (kind of a rest home for us old timers).
