I decided to change out a Boge Cartomizer LR 2.2ohm onto the eVic.
I used the condom method to fill the cartomizer and then put it in a tank and filled the tank. I let it sit for about 10 minutes.
I then put it onto the eVic and tried to break it in at 3.5V. I then increased the power to 4.0 and 4.2 Volts. Nothing drastic as it is a lower resistance cartomizer.
The vape tasted a little burnt and then I noticed the filament glowing red from the drill holes. Scared me!
I lowered the power but it was still happening at 3.8Volts.
Is this cartomizer now burnt and binable? What have I done wrong and how do I avoid it?
The cartomizers I ordered are the XLs. Slightly longer than the ones that came with the 3ml tanks I bought. Should have bought the shorter versions!
that was the first attempt!
Again, tried another 3 Boge LRs, but this time I was more careful with the way I pre-filled the cartridge (30 drops) using condom method, and tried to break in from 3V in 0.2v increments. When I got to 4 - 4.2V, the same thing would happen.
Even when I let one sit for 12 hours, it too glowed red.
Any advice?
Was this just a bad batch or is my technique wrong?
