Forgive me if I'm being a bit dense but it's been a while since I used my E-cig and I'm just getting back into it!

A couple of times now I've done the initial fill on a Boge Standard Resistance cartomiser and it has BURNED! We're talking real smoke coming from these bad boys and they STINK! Seriously! Not something you really wanna put in your mouth and they've immediately had to be thrown away! It has occurred to me that this is because of one of two things:
1. I NEED to fill up on the initial fill with the 'condom technique' when I've been trying to drip it.
2. I've had really bad luck with my cartomisers!

Does anyone have any clue as to why this is happening, please? It's a terrible waste of juice and cartomisers so if I can get this fixed, it'd be a great help!

Thanks in advance,

Rachy

I just recently went back to Boges from dual coils and I had this happen with 1 of my Boge LR cartos. After it burned, I pulled it apart to find that the bottom half of the filler was dry. You may need to use the Taryn Spin to fill these. I have been spin filling and no more burning issues. The spinning will force the liquid to the bottom. Here is a video demo on how to do it in case you are not familiar and good luck.

A double demo! The Cartomizer Condom Filling Method, and the Taryn Spin. - YouTube

PS, you may want to fast forward towards the end since you already know how to condom fill. I do not condom fill but do use the spin.

I use cartos and fill a new one every couple of days.

I've dripped, I've spun, I've condom-filled. I never use any of these methods anymore to fill a new carto.

Use a syringe. You will know exactly how much juice you've put in, it will ensure the bottom of the filler is saturated, and it's quicker.

I like a 1mL syringe because it's easier to control the rate of filling. An 18 gage x 1.5" sharp needle gets to the bottom of a standard length carto and will go inside the nozzle tip of most juice bottles.

For a standard Boge carto, draw up 0.7mL of juice and inject it into one side of the carto. Reload with 0.6mL of juice and do the other side. Blow out the center tube, wipe off the connector, done, ready to use.

Another tip: Tired of pulling off those carto condoms? Get a sharp-pointed pair of embroidery scissors. Slide the point of one blade between the condom and carto and snip to split the condom along its length. Now it will peel off easily.
