Boge's Official Statement About Boge Cartomizers

Dear Valuable clients and all Boge cartomizer users,

First of all thank you very much for your persistent help and support to Boge! We note that recently there are some negative comments on the quality of our Boge cartomizers. We find that most of the complaints focus on blank cartos. After detailed investigation, we’d like to release the following clarification:

1) Boge’s prefilled cartomizers are regarded as the best cartomizers in the market, owing to their perfect performance and consistency in quality. We’ve seldom received any complaint about prefilled cartos.

2) Boge has never changed any material for our cartomizers, no matter blank or prefilled ones. Some people think that the fiber filler has changed, but actually there is no change at all. There are only 2 changes to our packaging. The first change is the condom, but this only happened to several batches in early April, 2012, when the original supplier of condom was out of stock so we had to use condom from another supplier, which was a little bit loose and shorter. However, there wasn't any change at all to any material of the cartos. One or two weeks later we used the original condom again and everything remained the same as before. Some people are talking about the long condom version vs short condom version. Actually the cartos in both versions are exactly the same. We don’t think the length of the condom could have any effect on the quality of the cartos. The second change is that we spray print the style No., flavor, nicotine strength and resistance of heating coil etc. on the candy packs instead of using transparent stickers.

3) We think the way of filling e-liquid into the cartos is crucial for their performance. For prefilled cartos, we use an injector to fill e-liquid deep inside the cartos twice. Each time the e-liquid is distributed evenly in three different places. In this case we can make sure that the heating coil is fully infiltrated before the users inhale. This is why our prefilled cartos perform so well so far. For blank ones, we are not able to control the users' way of filling. An user can get the burnt taste easily if the heating coil is not fully infiltrated. Please fill in the e-liquid correctly to ensure that all units work well.

4) VG e-liquid is thicker than PG one. It takes more time (maybe 5-10 minutes) for VG e-liquid to go through the fiber filler and reach the heating coil. We don’t know how our blank cartos work with other brand of e-liquid. We only know that Boge cartomizers, filled with Dekang e-liquid, are gold standard in the electronic cigarette industry.

5) Some users put our blank cartos into clear tank (like the so called DCT or F16) and find that they don't work well. This is quite understandable as our cartos are not designed to be used in the clear tank. Our cartos are intended to be used with 3.7v batteries only. It’s not recommended to use our cartos with other devices.

6) There are lots of fake Boge cartos in the market. When you search “Boge” on www.alibaba.com, you’ll find thousands of “Boge products” but most of them are not produced by Boge. We can not exclude the possibility that a certain proportion of the complained Boge cartos are fake. We’ll continue to fight against such fake products to safeguard our rights and interests, and maintain the reputation of the quality of our products.

No matter what the reasons are, we've taken this issue seriously. We are doing something to optimize our products. We’ve added automatic assembling and inspecting machines to increase our productivity and guarantee our quality. We'll continue to enhance the 100% inspection system for all cartos before shipment. We have never, and will never compromise on quality. We trust that we are able to provide all Boge fans with perfect cartos whose quality is as good as usual.

Good info but a lot of has have had duds, bad tasting Boge cartos lately. I only buy Boge cartos from HC so I assume they are genuine. I did not change my filling method or battery, so what can be the reason for the duds and horrible tasting cartos?

Horrible tasting cartos is what I've read the most about. I've heard people refer to it as tasting the way floor cleaner smells. Is Boge using something to clean the filler with and they aren't rinsing it out enough to remove it?

I just got an order from health cabin and they are not the same as they used to be. They have the 2 short silicone caps, they look different, they have larger center pin hole, they taste bad after a while, I dont understand all the vendors are getting inconsistent products. Some vendors have had some of the good ones and slowly their new stock is replaced by the inferior boge cartomizers. What is happening, not every single user is either new, or doesn't know how to use them. All your explanations on your official statement sounds like denials, or blame on some users that have been using them for years not days.I will send you photos of all the different packaging. Either someone is lying or denying something, or your distributors are being hijacked by someone selling them counterfeits? Are all us users under some sort of mass hysteria and delusional? Is our juice tainted by some sort of hallucinogen? Im sorry but there is SOMETHING going on. Im sorry if I sound frustrated but I am not the only one. You can type in Boge and you will get dozens of posts regarding the problems. If you do a search on google by entering Boge problems and can come up with dozens of posts on the decline of quality from this forum and others out there. Are we all crazy? We were certainty crazy about your products and are frustrated and confused as to how a company with a worldwide following can suddenly over a few months have sooooo many quality control problems/changes and not come up with a better explanation. This is NOT an attack on Health Cabin they are just a vendor and cant do anything about what they get from your company. Are they being tricked by whoever they are ordering from? Is someone out there committing a fraud by pretending to be the Boge manufacturer? Im out the price of 4 boxes from Health Cabin and 24.00 from the purchase from surevapes. I know there are others out there that have spend hundreds on them only to have to toss 80% in the trash. I was going to buy a 50 box special from Vapor Beast that posted a statement that the boge they sell are guaranteed to be genuine and that they have been dealing directly with your company. They had been stocking the ones with the long and short silicone rubber caps and the little nipple for a while now, but with their new restock they recieved the ones with the 2 short rubber caps, so I didnt get them. All the vendors which have been getting the good ones are all slowly getting new stock of the bad ones. I can only see if they vendors start to get all the phone calls asking for refunds or stop getting orders at all, they will stop carrying your product, I would if I started getting angry customers. I suppose only then will your company acknowledge that there is a PROBLEM. It is especailly sad that some new customers out there experiencing the much hailed Boge cartomizers will never experience what they should be. Did you change your product because they were TOO good? I suppose that maybe because they were designed to be a throw away item you didnt like that people were getting weeks of use and some people were actually able to reuse them and clean them and getting more weeks of life? I guess that is what happens when a product is too good and the manufacturer wants to sell even more and doesn't want something to last. Again I feel sorry for all the vendors out there that are in the mercy of the manufacturer. THey are the ones that ultimately pay as their reputation gets ruined and their customers leave them only to find that other boge vendors have the same inferior items. I guess we all have to start all over again and find a cartomizer company that is satisfactory. I also feel bad for all the customers that have purchased all their equipment based on your cartomizers such as myself. I spent about 80 dollars on various pyrex tanks for the use of boge cartomizers.

Glad I stopped in and read this. I was going to try out the boge cartos because the ones I usually use, smoke tech 1.7 are bad. Used them every day for six months and all of a sudden I'm getting dud after dud and a bad taste. Kind of odd that both companies are having the same issues but won't admit anything. Odd indeed.

It's a +1. The current boge cartomizers with the shorter and looser condoms are pretty much rubbish. Please oh please bring the proper ones back. I do not believe the statement because for one, I've experience the difference myself. The older ones wicked and tasted brilliantly unlike these new one.

amen! cuts to the jist of the matter and it's Boge not the vendors. Whether it is cleaning the materials, improper air flow, or too tight, as you said, we the customers are filling them correctly. sad that Boge would take this stance. It has hurt their reputation more by their comments than the unreliability of their previously excellent product. I tend to think you nailed it on making them more 'disposable'.

sucking on the new ones was like sucking on a wet sponge. blow it out a little and got nasty burnt. there is no middle ground with these things, so something is definitely 'off'. very few us even noticed/cared about the condom size. i have tons of condoms laying around. it's what's inside that matters. I wasted way too much juice in them trying to get them to work like a brand new sealed carto should. i gave up and threw them out, because there was no 'breaking in' a broken product.

I switch on&off from my boge cartos to my C-Atty and I never have a problem with my boge cartos. I always use the same liquid it's a 50/50 vg pg mix and can get a good month out of 1 boge carto. (I use my carto in the day time at work and my atty at night) I have tried some 100% VG mixes and they always clog up my carto's AND atty's. im not sure what the problem is but I have never had any problems with the boge except when I use a dark liquid or a thick mix, sorry everyone is having such problems. there are a lot of knock off's, ive gotten a few knock off batterys that i wish i never purchased but now i never order from anyone but my current store (online store)

I wish I were the lucky few who have never experienced any of the baddies. There are quite a few out there how have been lucky that their vendors have not ended up with any of the inferior batches. That's what is so frustrating, because its so sporadic. It really makes us who have been stuck with them feel like we've gone crazy or are doing something wrong. I really do love boge and now that I have been trying new things, I still haven't found anything that I like better. I have tried a kanger ce4, similar to a startdust, its nice but warmer and I dont seem to like the juice so warm. I tried some royal smokers ce type cartos, not bad, but they are ugly looking. Ive just ordered various cartos from other makers and they will be here soon. Etc, etc, etc..... Now can you share where you are getting yours? I promise I wont buy them all You can PM me if you are worried they will all sell out. I have been forced to pay double what they go for and the gas driving to the closest actual store around here because they still have old stock, but I hate it because by the time I add in tax and gas it brings them up to 10.00 a box

I've got a feeling that the difference between the both us how packed the filler is? I've noticed that version 1 is not as packed as version 2. Maybe boge would like to see if this is true? There is an obvious difference between the two. May not be all visual but when we vape it we know. I'd definitely stop buying boge if this doesn't get sorted.

Yes, there is a difference in the packing originals were fine, the newers ones going around were really tight. Then I got some that were looser but after a few uses they filler actually looked too loose and I was getting some gurling and I also noticed the center part was larger and also the connector part had a larger center pin hole. Those were better but taste starts to decline faster. Please Boge people stop messing around. I guess they were making them too good, and with all the people actually resusing them a few times and some getting a week of use in a tank, they thought they could make more money by making them not as good.

Please stop messy with them and give us back the product we do truly love. In terms of business, long staying customers spend way more in the long run then quick sales.

Hmmm, Indeed. Seems even they are being slammed by all the complaints and are making change in their statement to sort of state finally that there is a difference on the packaging, since most of us canot actually take them apart and actually dissect the inners and prove the difference in the materials. They are acknowledging a change but wont actually admit they changed the way they are made to save face.

curious, has anybody done a modification on some of these, put their own filling in-----or ------ swapped out filling from an older *last known good* batch?
