I get so frustrated that they say e-cigarette makers are targeting the youth. The fact is that it's just not true. My son is 19 1/2, he and all of his friends smoke, most since before they turned 18. I have bought him 3 different types of PV's and he's trying out a one of my mods now. All of them are "too much work". He could care less about all the flavors, of all of mine he's tried the only one he really likes is the Banana Nut Bread. I would love to see him switch and am perfectly willing to invest in that, but kids want fast and easy, and PV's aren't either one. I've gotten my system down to fairly fast and easy, but that was through trial and error and much reading on ECF.

And for them to say that they are a gateway to smoking cigarettes is just asinine. I LOVED cigarettes when I smoked. I liked the smell of them lit and unlit. I loved the way they tasted. Now, I can't stand the taste of them. Why would someone smoke after starting with the wonderful flavors available with vaping. However, I do know that if they take away my ability to vape I will go straight to the store and buy cigarettes again. It's the act of hand to mouth and the type of breathing that I am addicted to as much as the nicotine. By trying to get rid of vaping they will only end up creating more smokers from those of us who need one or the other.

Perhaps Moon, that MAY precisely BE the game plan. I sometimes wonder if the noise is just to vilify the smoker so they feel guilty and are willingly, if grumpily, accepting of the constantly higher tax placed on them. Darn it, I'm going to quit, I'll buy the next great Pharma product and just quit. Spend the money, have success for awhile, then eventually return to cigarettes. Pharma wins, Tobacco wins, government wins, ?non-profit?"health" organizations win. As Charlie say "WINNING".

We've all been there. For some of us many, many times. Not any more. There are PVs, there's snus and there are the Star products (which I have yet to try but have heard good things about}. It's our time to be WINNING!

True! It's really the other way around: cigarettes are a gateway to vaping.

I have a 19-year-old daughter who doesn't smoke, but her smoking friends have zero interest in vaping, and vaping doesn't intrigue her one bit. The flavors aren't something that makes them interested, whether or not they smoke.
