2 days and the o-ring in my brand new Grand has already buckled out of the cap and it doesn't seal on the bottom of the threads, so my mod is unusable until I can buy a bunch of o-rings online. I love this thing, but it's disappointing that I am going to have to try to stuff a new o-ring in the cap every other day.

Oh no!

I've only ever had a bit of oring expansion, and I swapped it with another and it worked fine. I've only had to do this once. Never had any problems since.

Can you try letting the oring dry out a bit when you sleep?

Or do you have access to some rubber bands? Maybe a rubber band around it below the threads and over the oring would help. Or how about some plumbers thread tape around the space under the cap when it's screwed on and the oring over that?

Just trying to come up with some quick band aids here to help you while you're out in the field.

You can use the dripper top and forget about the o-ring. Just take the dripper top and drill out the hole to fit the tubing. It will then snap off and on the bottle and your problem is solved.

Trying to follow this subject, just in case mine do that.

Perhaps someone could do a pictorial tutorial sort of thing on it, particularly where yer supposed to drill the cap thing and so on?

Thanks.:)

The cap will no longer be used. The dripper tip will just have a large enough hole so the tubing fits. Like in unsure's pic.

A drill or simply enlarging the hole by reaming it out will work.

The dripper tip fits tight into the bottle and seals well.

You can use this set-with juices that swell the o-ring, and then revert to the cap o-ring for other juices. All you need is a little extra tubing and the dripper top.

I found a tank o- ring that has done the trick temporarily. When I get home at the end of the month I will drill out an couple of caps. I think the thing to do is eventually just get another Grand that just gets used for Pluid and Grenada, since those are what I primarily use. Maybe a green one...
