This is more important than some of us think. I've gotten so many bottles that weren't properly labeled, leaked, didn't have child proof caps (for 30ml?! come on!), and that were almost impossible to get the juice out.
The other day I got some daily cheap and high quality juice from a vendor, that I won't mention because it's irrelevant, and their bottles actually blew me away! Child proof, easy dripping, didn't leak, informative and simple, plus the shocking bonus of a tamper proof seal! Like the ones you find on gallons of milk.
I think this should be standard, especially for high quantities of juice. It definitely makes me more likely to buy more juice from them and doesn't raise cost too much.

I agree these are all valuable features to have. Specially as vaping becomes more common, the safer suppliers make things the better for everyone.

What used to drive me crazy when I was buying premixed juice with childproof caps was that some wouldn't unscrew . Cutting the top of the bottle off to get the juice is not good. I still get some flavorings with caps like that, but at least there's no nic in those.

I totally get that for those who have kids or pets around a childproof cap is required. On the other hand I never have either around. Some childproof caps are no big deal like the ones from MBV. I have no problem getting those open. others are a real pain in the .... and I find myself rebottling if one of my other lids won't work. I'd love to see a choice on it much like we can choose no childproof top at the pharmacy.

If nothing more, all vendors should be using Child Proof Caps just as a deterrent. There's really no reason not to have them when there's so many plastic & glass vendors online who sell direct to the public and businesses alike.

If regulations do make their way in, and we're not totally up the creek, I would imagine CPC's or similar being mandated. Perhaps as far as shrink wrapping or using the TE caps as well. Why not go ahead and get a jump on things?

Wow. Never had that - not even close. For everything I have ever purchased - not kidding - I find the child proof bottles laughable. With the combination of plastics being used I'm lucky if the caps are still in place when the bottles arrive, let alone have any child proof capacity. It's slippery plastic against soft plastic. Crank on them all I want, they barely have even a notion of child proofing. One DK type bottle - which a lot of places use - actually tore around the thread at the top when I tried to "child proof" tighten the cap on.

The only well designed bottle I ever saw was the one used by Ecopure. Steeply sloped top - so you could get all the liquid out.

Of course if regulation comes along I'm sure that any bottle problems will all be fixed...

This^^^ There should be a choice offered. I no longer have children around except for two weeks in the summer. My stuff stays out of sight and reach while they are here. I don't need or want child proof caps. Then you have quite a few with arthritic hands that cannot deal with a child proof cap (and let me tell you! Hand it to a kid that can get it off with no problem).

Aren't we all fighting for Choices? Aren't we complaining about having regulations being forced on us? Whatever happened to being responsible for our own kids and not having regulations parent our children for us?

Sorry..... Rant over

I have no problem with childproof caps or lack thereof. I guess the reason I'm on the fence about this is because the alcohol industry doesn't provide childproof anything and never seems to get any flak for it. People should focus more on parenting their kids and keeping things away from them that they shouldn't get into. Considering a childproof cap can pretty much be removed by anyone over 6 years of age, a locked cabinet or a high shelf seems like a much better option.

And we want it Cheap to!

Child proof is a lie.
I have Arthritis and often my grand children open the bottles for me.
Take a look around the house at all the things you have that are not child proof yet deadly or dangerous if used improperly.

Adults should take responsibility and stop expecting others to over see their lives.

The ability to squeeze a bottle neither makes it good or bad. Simple it makes it more application friendly. Some prefer or even swear by Glass bottles.

I guess from my perspective, the childproof caps are a good idea. Not for child proofing, but for lack of accidental pocket dripping, lol. I carry a 30ml bottle of Boba's or Orb organic RY4, and I can only imagine the the mess of dark sticky Boba's puddle in the pocket of my leather jacket. At least it would smell ok, but the mess. The issue is one of perception, and since these CPC's are so easy to get off, I don't find them offensive, and it helps our appearance to the non-vaping community at large.

Do i think it should be regulated? No, because packs of smokes and bottles of Everclear aren't. But I think it may be a tool in avoiding some hurt down the road. It's purely an opinion thing with us all right now.

We should child proof a lot of adults who should not be playing with baby humans. Keep dangerous stuff out of reach of kids. Offer child proof as an option not the other way around. But, it isn't that huge of a deal and I'm sure that the regulations that are most certainly coming will require child proof and safety seals.

I believe the only reason we have child proof caps now is because that is what was available on the market for 15ml bottles at the time. I think that is also why the bottles are 15ml (1/2oz). That is what was available on the wholesale bottle market when commercial juices became available.

My children have been child-proofed. They know they are not to touch anything they do not have permission to touch. They are also old enough to understand that bad things can be in good looking bottles.
I do not need a regulation or requirement to force me to do something I have taken care of, being a responsible parent!
Besides that point, my boys (28 down to 8) have shown me time and time again that childproofing only works on adults and children under that age of 1 and a half years.

As an option for those that wish it? Great, go for it.

I rellay think these caps names should be changed to 'accident resistant', as I think anything with even minor motor skills could open one (including our 22 lb Maine .... cat, who can turn door knobs). The only value they provide me personally is not opening in my pocket, and I've even had that once or twice with a few 10 mils. True childproofing of caps makes them so hard to open that I can't usually do it, and I am an engineer by training.

A choice would be fine. But, I personally hate child-proof bottles, especially the little ones. Several times I have spilled joose because the little dripper tip has come off with the child-proof top. Very irritating.

Besides, half the time I have to ask my grandkids to open child-proof things for me because I can't.

DISAGREE!

Child proof caps should be an option. Child proof caps pose serious problems to those of us with arthritis, carpal tunnel, etc.

How about child proof bottles that actually work? Not some company buying 1000's of cheap bottles which leak and are not sealed properly. All we need is to read of a child who died while drinking a bottle of blueberry cake e liquid.
