That is going to take very specific contacts. Screen shots of the body showing the contact areas:

I was planing on using a spring negative but finding one specifically for a 18650 is hard to say the least. I found a spring negative and it's coming in, but I think the quality could be questionable (coming from China). I also got some universal clips from digikey but there is about an 1/4 in gap in the battery making contact with both ends. I was wondering could I use JB weld to build out a bit to make up the difference? Thanks.

Have you actually printed that yet? The v2 has some very minor dimension differences than the V1 that I'm not sure that that design will not need some filing
Yes I Have. But I haven't ordered the chip yet. Minor filing would not be a problem for me. Already going to shave a couple mm off the case to accommodate the juice bottle.

Check REO mods dot com for the spring, he has them specifically for 18650's.

Hello everyone! Back on modding the squonkers, was super busy with school. I got my hands on a VV Reo Grand that I want to chip to SX350J mini v2. I have been looking at different datasheets, and I'm having a hard time figuring out how I would possibly fit it in. The V1 data sheet is showing 18mm wide which is about the depth of the Reos interior.

It's looking more and more like I'll have to go with a DNA40 or I shave 1mm off the back and sides in the interior chamber. Any suggestions from anyone who fit an SX350J into a REO? Once I'm done with the VV will try a grand.

I haven't kept up with the versions so I don't know how it compares, but here is how I did an original SX350 in a VV Grand

Had to rearrange everything and use a square Japanese bottle and make my own battery contacts.

Thanks for the references Mundy! Great job too, I'm trying to fit everything into the side rail and bottom the way Cory (aka CC) did it. It seems that I might be able to do it if I shave 1mm off the back and sides, just wondering how much integrity of the walls I will lose with shaving off 1mm in the interior.
