I'd been looking at side firing. My hands are rather small and I don't think I could fire a bottom one comfortably unless I got I got a small one. Unfortunately, most of the ones with the side buttons remind me of plumbing parts. I finally settled on a Poldiac, but I was in an accident and had to buy a new car, so a new mod will have to wait. :(

Hope the car was the only thing hurt??? Cars are easy to get... Ocelots are rare and valuable!!! ;)

That's a good question ergonomically speaking, side-fire would be better but they're hideous.

Aescetically speaking bottom fire is much nicer looking.

I'm curious what side fire mods you've seen that look "hideous" to you?

Thank you for your kind words. :) I'm fine, but my beloved pick-up was totaled. I really loved that truck. Sadly, they don't make Rangers anymore, so I had to get a car. It's a nice car, I'm trying very hard to like it, but I miss having a truck. I don't care for the Tacoma and all the other trucks are too big and too expensive. :(

I would say bottom fire magnetic for the most part, but I love my poldiacs very much. The side fire on the poldiac is magnetic and crisp and no need to lock or worry about setting it down.
For a long time after trying all sorts of things I settled on Poldiacs love the seamless side fire magetic button! I have however recently added several bottom fire recessed
magnetic button mods like the BBM's and Anatolians and I love them as well. One thing I cannot stand and never will is having to spin a lock ring to set my mods down.

We have a Silverado, our 2nd, and I love it, but my husband now seems fixated on getting a GMC for our next one, and I just dunno how I feel about that. He says they're more plush, more luxurious, and I do like that, but the names just cannot compare -- "Silverado" vs. "GMC".. it just doesn't have the same ring.

I guess I'll live with whatever he decides; to me the very best thing about a truck is how high up I sit when I'm riding in it or driving it; it's taken away about 99% of my road-terror, which was so crippling in a car I often ended up cringing in the footwell, just plain terrified of the pure randomity of all these cars whizzing at high speed in lanes so close together, and probably a quarter of those drivers are texting, another quarter are staring at their phone wondering why it just died, and another quarter who are just plain incompetent behind the wheel. Which leaves me and maybe 1/4 of the drivers on the road who actually have a clue how to be a safe, defensive driver. With those odds, I just flat-out love riding in a vehicle with "20" tires! :D
