I'm still new to mod PVs and thought that I should upgrade my tank to a glass clearomizer...problem is that I went and bought a pack of replacement coils just in case and went with the 2.2ohm bottom coil replacement.

I guess many of the pros here already know what I don't from reading the thread title and my PV won't fire with a load(I can hear it fire when the tank isn't attached). I'm guessing if anything, 2.2ohm is not compatible or is too high for the MVP.

no way. That's not it. 2.2 should be just fine.
It's somehow not making a connection - check the spot where the battery connects - it's spring loaded (I think - I don't have an MVP - yet) and may have been pressed down. Or you can usually turn the part on the COIL that touches the battery post - counterclockwise a turn or two to make that connection.

Do you know how to use the "Ohm meter" function? It will probably give you an error code - indicating it can't find a coil or that it's reading a bad coil...

2.2 ohm should work just fine, my guess would be it's not making a connection, first check that you have the replacement head screwed all the way in and nice and snug, if that doesn't work you could try pulling out the center pin in the bottom of the coil where it screws in. If neither one of those work try a different coil, you may just have one that is DoA, it's rare but does happen.

After a complete wipe down(MVP's beauty ring, connection and etc) it fires nicely though I think my next order should be 1.8ohm since the 2.2ohm coil replacement seems really warm which was one of the reason why I decided to replace my dual coil iClear clearomizer.

Thanks for the quick response! This also reminds me that I need e-liquid bottles with the needle end because it's kinda annoying that I have to be so careful refilling my clearomizer haha.

Once again, thanks for the responses!

Vote #3 on this here: Nothing wrong with that coil resistance and no reason for it to not work on an MVP. There's something else going on here. Did the PT ever work ok with the first coil that came pre-installed? Regardless, take the base off, unscrew the coil slightly and screw it back in place. Make sure it's screwed down really firm, but don't hurt yourself doing it either. Some times just that last bit of turn when you seat a coil can make the difference between electrical contact... or not.

Again - I don't have an MVP, but it's variable watts - so you SHOULD be able to get a watts setting that gives you a very similar vape whether you've got a 1.8 or a 2.2 or got a 2.2 that turns out to really be 2.4 (that happens - a LOT).
I CAN tell the difference between them (I actually prefer 1.8) - but the general IDEA of having variable watts is that the unit adjusts the voltage FOR you based on the resistance it "reads" from the coil...
No big deal - and I'm glad you got it working!! :)
