I got 4 juices by local vendors and have liked 1/4 of them. I was given 4 juices by a friend I met here and didn't like 3/4 of them. Its normal. I am now sending the ones I didn't like to my cousin who just started vaping in hopes she likes them more. I love Pepsi products and Coke not so much, but there are people who feel the opposite of I do. Same goes with juices. My strategy as a noob vaper is to test sample packs or order from a few different vendors to find my "Pepsi". If ya know what I mean. Good luck finding yours! :toast:

So far I have tested:
Mister E-Lquid: Awesome! $10/18ml
MtBakerVapor: Pretty Good. Good prices. $5/15ml
NamberJuice: Nice flavor and price! $10/15ml

out of desperation (since i'm out of my favorite strawberry juice) i've tried the banana cream pie from mvs and somehow that odd flavor i had before seems to have vanished. it still not something i enjoy but it not something i can't stand anymore either. i guess some of these juices really do need steeping (8-10 days) otherwise you get that awful herbal/burnt taste.

it's it's either that or my mind just somehow subconsciously adjusted to the flavor that it will taste awful and prepared for the worst!

It isn't strange to not like most juices.

When I started, I liked minty juices, then hated them. Then I liked coffee, then hated it. Then I liked plain ole' menthol and have continued liking it for a couple of months.

I'm going back to some of the flavors that I stopped liking and I still dislike all but the coffee, as long as it gets a drop or 2 of menthol :)

my first juice was strawberry from mvs which i really liked.
so i bought 3 more:

- peach from mvs
- strawberry cream from vaporheads
- banana cream from mbv

surprisingly, i can't stand any of them.
what are the chances of not liking all 3 juices?

The chances? Um... my experience? High.

I ain't easy finding your juices. If you're lucky and have a brick & mortar that'll let you taste test, that's fantastic. If you don't or it's too far (me, it's the latter, good 100 mile round trip and, you know, gas prices) you have to take some risks and you'll miss a lot at first. Funny thing I've found? The flavors you think you'll like don't always turn out to be the ones you like. I ordered some I was just sure I'd love the flavor and went "bleah". I dunno, vapor is different somehow? Like I smoked menthol right? I hate menthol vapes. Go figure?

One thing I've picked up around here from the experienced folk is to never toss a liquid. Set it aside. Come back later. Even much later. Sometimes, long term steeping can change it from something you hate to something you love. You never know.

Dunno how long you've been at the vape thing but if you're new, you're going to have to do some "sampling". Yeah, it'll mean some money on stuff you won't like. So buy little bottles and sample packs. Try different base liquid mixes. Try a flavor you maybe think you might like but it's not "top of the list". Take a few "pot shots" here and there.

And while it might seem wasteful, it might not be. I'm not all that experienced but I'm past "newbie" stage definitely now. I'm starting to play around with mixing juices. And just got in a big bottle of plain nic juice with a bunch of flavorings. First test this evening: root beer. Results: put too much sweetner in.

But I'm starting to look at bottles of liquids that I didn't like and thinking, "But what if I mixed..."

speaking of mixing, do you generally wash out the tanks after each re-fills or do you just re-use the leftover juice w/ new one? just to test out the mixing effect?

Welcome and enjoy the journey. What you are experiencing is not unusual. To echo some of what has been said, you will probably find more juices you don't like than those you do.
Keep swinging you will get some hits.

You will probably find too that you will like some manufacturers flavor profiles more than others. It is entirely subjective though. What you love, the next person might hate and vice versa. No right answers only the next juice to try.

Depends on the flavor. Sometimes I'll mix in the tank just to see what I'll get. Most times, I use a clean tank. Been picking up batches of little dripper bottles to make mixes in. Just got in a big bottle of unflavored nic juice and some flavors today. Mixed up a root beer but over did the sweetener a bit. It's good for about six puffs before sugar shock. :)

But the sweetener could save some of iffy juices in the cabinet...

My first month of vaping I liked 3 of over 15 eliquids I bought from vendors.

Started making my own the 2nd month of vaping.

( 8 months later ---->) Its nice to have 45-50 ELIQUIDS you love around the house at all times instead of being mad the eliquid you bought is terrible.

Took me until my third month. Now, anybody know a good vanilla ice cream flavor? I wanna try root beer floats! :)

I am browsing over there but, like a lot of things when you first start, most goes right over my head. So got some basic stuff from MBV to get my beginner's blunders under way. :)

When I first started a few years back, I bought any juice that resembled a dessert I would eat but I realized fruity flavors weren't my thing at all. I probably spent hundreds of dollars figuring that out. Coffee and tobacco flavors do the job for me. Specifically, ry4. Good luck!

Like everyone said it is all personal preference and finding what type of flavors you do like... Order variety packs, multiple 5-10ml bottles etc during your hunt.

I also found some flavors I did not like at first but vaping them over a day or two, they really grow on you (back wood brew espresso was one of these flavors for me). This could also be because of self steeping a few days helps that little bit. I found if I think something is just not right, steeping or waiting a week can really help this...

Though if its "gross" right off the bat, with little to no appeal, steeping probably won't help.

I also found that at least for me I like my fruity flavors a bit muted and understated, so now I look for reviews that reference this and ignore juices which say the flavor is strong etc

the peach from mvs though is a bit irritating on the throat however, i'd likely keep that away for now.

Well it just goes to show people's taste are totally different - I can't stand the peach from MVS - I put it in a little baggie all to itself, wrapped it in paper towel, then shrink-wrapped it and placed it in a burlap sack and buried it in the garden and planted a lemon tree over it just to cover the smell, and I can still smell it...
But I'm glad you like it.
