Tell me again why these are all the rage ??

I opened one up looked at it and it looked fine. Blew through it and it seems like there is no oil or whatever like the 510 attys.

Pop it on drip 4 drips on the bridge slide on my new clear drip tip.
First hit taste like crap, but thats to be expected.
Second hit ... hmm doesn't taste like dry atty, it taste like melting plastic.

I pull off my clear drip tip to see if its melting (I was stunned at how hot these get).
Drip tip looks fine, but now there are fabric strands that look like fiberglass cloth melted to the side of my new att. I get the tweezers and pull all the gunk off.

Now on hit 3 I see a bright yellow flash though my clear tip (scared me) and the vape burns my throat. Still tastes like melting plastic somewhere.

Anyway I have about 25 hits on it now and NOT ONE has been anywhere near satisfying at all. I have tried 3 different flavors that I am very familiar with dripping on Std res 510s.

I don't know what to I bought 5 of these dam things based on everyones love for them, I guess that was stupid. I have vaped a 5v and it seemed much cooler on the throat than using the LR 3306 is.

I guess I could get used to the temp, but I am not going to keep burning up juice and getting no flavor.

For the record they are Genuine Joye 306 @ 1.5 ohm.

Any sugestions, I am ...... that I blew 30 bucks on 5 of these (plus a new drip tip).
What is wrong here? I really want to be able to at least use up the 5 i bought.

It seems to me like my first one is burning WAY WAY to hot. Is it possible there is something wrong with it?
Do you think I should try a second one (I would like to keep at least 4 new so I can sell them here and get some of my money back if I can't make them work).

I am using it an ego right now. I think maybe its getting broken in better. Not sure how long it takes (it seems like std 510s break in by 10 hits for me)but I have about 40 hits through it 30 min (Nic rush).

Anyway I guess its getting tolerable now. By now means do I like it better than Std res though. I am going to stick with it the rest of the day and see how it shakes out.

You might see 4 of them in the FS section my morning, don't know yet.

Oh man ya, I take that all back this is sweet.

It looks like I burned the first one to dry which toasted my wick on hit 2 when I saw the flash through the clear drip tip.
Then I tore the rest of the wick out because it looked melted. I guess from there I pretty much screwed the first atty for good.
Chalk that up to a learning experience (man I have had a lot of those recently)!

The second atty stared tasting fine (by fine I mean fantastic) by hit 3 or 4. And she is working great.

Super vapor with a nice warm taste, exactly what i was expecting.

Sorry to panic there.

Though I am still a noob, I wanted to throw you a warning that using the LR atties on smaller batteries and pvs may burn out your battery super quick. one of my dse901 batteries fried in 1 day. it does seem to work fine on my riva901, but i am not taking the risk any longer. only using the lrs on my 5v passthrough and my glv-2...

You will kill them , possibly along with your 5v as well, your not supposed to use them on anything over 3.7v.
( Surprised they work at all, most 5v won't fire them at all due to the chips used)
And no surprise on the 901 batt, they're not made to take it.

So now you get it!!!!!! The first one is not shot, do not throw it out. Since wick is gone, remove mesh and bridge. Go easy but you can pry the bridge out. I use a small finishing nail set tool. You will now have a bridgeless LR 306 and you can drip right on the coil. Vape will be hotter than one w/bridge and juice won't go as far but it is still a good atty
