Hello, im new to this and just purchased a riva 510 from liberty flights and some boge cartomizers LR. AS well as a 4 flavors all 18-12mg menthol, 2 PG, 2 VG.
I've probably been smoking since i was 19 but only on and off and not very often; a black and mild here and there, hooka almost weekly.. It wasnt until about 2-3 years ago i started to smoke cigarettes more often. And about 2 years ago i started to realize that i was becoming more and more addicted. I had quit for a short time, but picked up the habit again when i started working at my current job because i was exposed to smoking often. Lately i realized that i had become a regular smoker. Now i know it might sound stupid and people would probably think that i dont have a problem because i only would smoke 3-5 cigarettes a day, but i recognize that it is becoming worse over time. And your health really does suffer at even this smoke rate. I found myself with constant chest pains, breathing problems, and general health problems.
My girlfriend and I are constantly trying to smoke. (Shes been smoking since 12 heavily). I bought a blu disposable ecig from walgreens about a week ago because i was curious and wanted to see what it was like. It said 400 puffs on the box for about the cost of a pack of cigs. I tried the tobacco flavor and was amazed by how hard it hit and the amount of vapor also seemed amazing. I later went across town to another walgreens so i could find a menthol flavored one, before the tobacco flavor one ran out. Gave the first one to my girl friend who didnt immediately like it, but was willing to try. While working a couple days later the blu ran out and i smoked a camel i had bummed off someone. It was horrid. I bought another one the next day. Later that day i decided to try a malboro menthol to see what it would be like. It was terrible in comparison. Not only did i feel sick afterwards, but it didnt even hit as hard as the blu, or produce as much smoke as the vapor. Have bought 4 so far. The great part is, neither i or my girlfriend have had a cigarette, nor have i had a desire for an analog cig since.
My father smoked since he was like 4 and once got a really crappy ecig trying to quit.. He went back to smoking. I dont blame him because i once tried it and it was horrible. But i guess thats the way with technology, always improves over time. After doing i bit of research, i was amazed to find this website and that there is a whole subculture of people who use these devices, even exclusively! I know alot of people that are slave to cigarettes and i think that if any of them want to quit this is definitely something to look into. Maybe this alternative appeals to me because i mainly enjoy smoking hooka. And the amount of vapor these things produce is almost on par with a good hit off a hooka pipe.
It might sound crazy but i find smoking has given me many positives as well. Not only because i am a social smoker, but i know that smoking increases your blood pressure and mine was a bit on the low end. Also tobacco acted as a kind of laxative and kept me a bit regular when i smoked after meals. Although i dont know to quite what extent smoking helped me, however im certain that it didnt outweigh the negative effects.
My plan is to continually lower the nicotine content of my juices until im down to 0. Hopefully this will kill my physical dependency on smoking. Hopefully one day i can be completely rid of tobacco.
