I've heard a lot of people say the Nautilus Mini is very fragile, what are your experiences with it?

I heard the 20W iStick had many issues.
The Nautilus (mini or standard) is no more fragile than any other clearomizer which uses glass. There are options to convert the glass tank into a stainless steel tube, or use a metal cage to surround the glass to help protect it if that is a huge concern.

It is the iStick 50 watt which has all the issues.

I'm thinking the MVP 20W (maybe 30W) paired with the Nautilus Mini is right for me. A good combo you think?
I'll get some extra coils too, I guess the genuine Nautilus ones are the best?

I think you've made a decision that you will "Love". For me the Nautilus on a mod was the game changer.

Land of many beaches.
I am not recommending Subtank growth at this point. I think you'll "love" the Nautilus. Walk before you run.

Having been down this path over the last 3 weeks (day 22), including two weeks with the Nautilus I ordered on day 2 after finding my starter gear grossly insufficient, I'd suggest the OP consider how they smoked a cigarette and what sort of air flow they want when drawing.

The Nautilus is good, but I ordered another step up on day 13 and I'm not regretting it. Ego One Mega in my case. The key for me was airflow through the atomizer. Even after drilling one of the holes out, the Nautilus wasn't quite enough.

I was a 2 to 3 pack a day smoker and the Nautilus was perfect in my experience. The OP was wanting a "grab and go" unit. I still use my Nautilus every day.

I guess buying the Evod 2 was pointless, lol.

Not really.. I could say my Evod was pointless since less than a month later I retired it and bought the MVP2.. Point is, it got you off cigarettes, just like it got me to quit a 20 year pack a day habit cold. Trust me it only gets worse from here on out so just make sure you have a good job hahaha. If what you have works for you and keeps that smoking habit gone, then you shouldnt really feel any need to 'go with the flow' and buy every new atty and mod that comes out. I dont think I couldve handled my Sigelei Mini and my drippers I use now at the start. Im just one of those people that has that habit of geeking out with everything Im into so my vape setups have 'evolved' along with that. Dont even get me started on my guitar gear or my recording gear.. THERES a rabbit hole you dont wanna go down.. Now if I could only find $50k for that API mixing console I HAVE to have..

And dont forget if you have extra vape supplies, youve always got a backup if and when something goes wrong with another piece (and trust me one day it will). I still have my Evod kit even though Im sure it wouldnt satisfy me just in case. I actually hung on to it so I could give it to someone that wanted to quit smoking and see if they liked vaping. Havent given it up yet because most of the smokers I know would more than likely have given it up by now so I want to make sure it goes to someone that REALLY wants to quit, which is all you have to do to make vaping work for you..

One thing is certain. Vaping must be considered a journey. There is no ONE SETUP which will be perfect for everyone. That is why there are SO MANY options available to us. The important thing to remember is to do some research, jump in with SOMETHING just to get your feet wet, and then decide what you like and don't like, and then do some additional research to see what will improve what you like.

Most of us traveled a different journey to get where we are now. We made some bad decisions, and some good ones along the way.

One more thing, should I buy 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coils?
They are so close in resistance, I don't think it really matters here.

In general, the higher the ohm number, the cooler the vape will be and less drain on your battery. The lower the number, the warmer the vape will be and the more drain on your battery.
