There was some logic to our madness back then.
The FDA was involved in a lawsuit, customs was seizing shipments, and the end of vaping was looming over heads. (sound familiar?)
For that reason some of us thought it prudent to learn how to become "self reliant" if needed. That meant learning how to build our own mod. Even building our own atomizer if needed (that's how the Genny was born).
Mamu even posted step by step directions for how to build mods.

Madvapes even sold kits for making your own mods back then.
I still have several old builds laying around. This little (stealth mod) is one of my favorites. It cost $2.20 to make back in 2011, and it still works.
