Do you mean "I want only a pushbutton" or "Is the slide switch what you hit to make it vape?" the "diagram" :p I posted is for main power on/off slide switch PLUS pushbutton vape-activation. If you don't care about the slide switch, just bypass it in the diagram, and wire the negative wire from the negative terminal through the push button.

okay, one last question...what if I don't want to use the slide switch and I just want a push button activation?

wait, I think I know what you mean, the button I used IN PLACE of the original slide on/off switch is a pushbutton micro switch you probably could find at Radio Shark. It looks like a slide switch, but it's not. I can't find a picture online.

Has anyone tried their Vapor King Catomizers on their box mod? I have, and they kick .... I wouldn't normally use the box for that purpose, but I had to give it a shot, and it works great. I typically use my VK as my travel e-cig, since it's s simple and there's no liquid or atomizers to worry about...two batteries and a couple of carts and I can vape for a whole day on the road.

Oh yes, they work great, I just find the draw is too light....I'm trying to figure out a way to block some of the air going through the hole without stopping it altogether....If you've never seen my "Magnum in a box" Type 2 mod, that one works better, it's a 6 volt mod. Same 2 AA box, with 2 CR2s like the Magnum and GG, with a 901 connector. I've blown out a few RN and DSE atts with it, Haven't been able to kill a Vapor king yet.

I also know a way to make a mod using all 4 batteries! Did you ever see this one? you have to put the connector on the oustide of the box, so it's not as secure as the 3 battery version, but it works. There are certain types of rectangluar push switches that fit PERFECTLY where the original slide on/off goes, that is a push switch in the second picture, not a slide. the wiring does not get in the way, you can do it in AA or AAA size, as long as there's a master switch on the box like this one had it will work. Wiring is even simpler than the 3 battery version.

Aaron!..gotta admit that last pic with vapor is totally Awesome!!..just had to bump it up again;) priceless..

Sure, consult the childish scribble below. this is how I like to make mine, with the switch sort-of in the middle, instead of on the side. I don't make these much anymore, usually I do 2/AA mods that take AA size 3.7 volt batteries.

Hey youfillintheblank,

Pardon my dumb but I want to check with you before I blow something up.

I was planning on making a single AA battery in a double AA box for my 801 but shifted gears and built a 3-battery system in a 4-AA box. Reason being it wasn't looking good for transferring the standard off/on switch from the 4-AA box into the 2-AA box. In doing so, I blatantly copied your wiring diagram that you posted up earlier.

In voltage testing with 3 NiCD batteries, I get 3.6v at the atomizer connector. If and when I get some protected TrustFire 14500 Li-ion cells, three of these will give me dang near 12v on the atomizer. Is this really what I want? Seems like that would burn down an atomizer but I just don't really know for sure. I'm too new at this stuff to really understand how it works.

Not sure which is series and which is parallel but I'm wondering if it wouldn't it be better to wire the thing like my Ford diesel pickup with 2-12v batteries wired so they put out more 12v duration to a 12v system rather than wire it up like my old military jeep where the 2-12v batteries put out 24v to a 24v system?

crazyhorse--You never what to go above 5 volts really. And as for anything over 5 volts you will fry that atomizer real quick. They do make a two AA box with a kill switch. Radio shack just does not sell it. So you are on track with using one 14500 AA 3.7V 900mAH battery. You can vape all day with it. So no need to push it. Again, these atomizers are made to run max at 5 volt. Although you could push 6v though it--it would fry real quick--------Sun

Okay. So instead of wiring in series like the above diagram, I can wire this box in parallel and come up with 3.7 volts to the atomizer (using the 14500 batteries) but achieve triple the mAh. Correct?
--

Crazyhorse --that is correct as you will only be upping the mAH's when wired in parallel for a longer lasting battery life but still keeping the voltage at 3.7---Sun

Thanks Sun. That's what I'd be looking for with a setup like this. A battery pack that will last for days.

Thats what you would get too lol a little big though. Definitly don't hook 3 3.7 V in series. I am useing a 4AA with the NImH while waiting for my DX order. Might make one with a 3AA box for running 2 14500s in parallel but I like the size of the 2AA box alot. Also on the look out for a more astectic looking box. Thinking along these lines. Gona pick one up and see if I can gut it.
