Agree that buck is prefered, me too, you the boxmod man, don't think I'll want to argue that with you..

But was thinking of a Texas TPS63061 buck-boost running with 2 CR123 to give a constant 5, then again that'll take a hugh hand to be stealthy..

Nothing to do with chip size, the original idea was to build a very very small box with 1 x 16340 and 510 placed in parallel..

Alright since u all are talking about the boxmod ... Can someone point out the pros and cons of the box mod available in Our place?
like will it maintain its voltage or is it friendly with dual coils or if it is a good vv mod.

it works perfectly on dual coils and managed to push my 5 ohm atyy at 6v. i don't think it'll maintain the voltage unfortunately and the other con is the ugly looks and build quality is an decent diy standard. overall good value still.
