Ok I may be thinking about this wrong, but..
Even if the positive "bar" hits the cap of the bottle, unless it hits ground also nothing would happen??
The tubing is between the cap and the 510.
Assuming good wraps etc..
Or am I just the eternal optimist?

Right. Just make sure your battery isn't naked. Still not sure if the YTFK bottle is a go or not. Looks really iffy to me. There will be other options thought.

I'd have to agree,after seeing the pic you posted in the other thread,if that bottle sits as tight in this Boxer clone as it does in the Frankie,i wouldn't personally take the risk with it.

Before I order, do I have this right....
The included bottle is the cr*p one that is in the Frankie clone, but we are hoping the YFTK bottle will work, and the cap is not too big to hit the screws on the positive side? May have to put some tape over the screws?

Don't know yet if the bottle is bad. Just talking about options if it is.

The Frankie is especially tight widthwise, not sure about the Boxer. Just gonna wait and see when it gets here. Till then, faith.

Ordered the black and a black pulse. Couple other things as well while saving a few dollars.
Now time to forget I ordered it till the surprise next month lol.

Crap. I've got six Frankies, now they come out with this. Yet another clone that would look better without the purloined logo. This is slightly taller and wider than the Frankie, but with the rounded side probably the same circumference and may actually feel smaller in the hand. The extra height lets them put a little spring to the positive connection so it should be much easier on the battery wraps. I hate to judge fractions of a mm based on a photo, but it looks like this one will also need to have the feeder pin shimmed to make contact with a standard atty. Hopefully the bottle is decent, or maybe even good. It would be nice if they are textured ABS rather than painted. All in all, it LOOKS like a slight improvement over the frankie.

It looks like they are probably painted,i can't see it on the other colors,but on the picture they have posted of the blue one,there is a spot where it looks either the paint rubbed off,or they missed a spot haha.I'll still get a couple though,and maybe put a clear coat on them or something.

Ships in 7 days. ETA 9 days. Right. They did that with the v3 frankie, and the ETA kept drifting south until it put on a grass skirt and started dancing hula.

It looks like they are probably painted,i can't see it on the other colors,but on the picture they have posted of the blue one,there is a spot where it looks either the paint rubbed off,or they missed a spot haha.I'll still get a couple though,and maybe put a clear coat on them or something.

One other thing I notice from the picture: the extra width allows the 510 to be centered over the bottle so the tube is a straight shot instead of offset like the frankie. I think that white you see may be part of the button.

Same here - I also ordered the Gorge to try and it is the same way. Maybe i will see this by Labor day

Well, the mystery deepens. 3F says the bottle is PP, meaning polypropylene I guess. It also has a replacement bottle described as the same as the Frankenskull bottle. FT says silicone. No mention of adjustable 510. Ah, well, we'll just have to wait and see, won't we?

Sure looks like the Frankie bottle, polyethylene/propylene probably, certainly not silicone. Yeah, I do hope the 510 is adjustable. But like the Hydra clone which turned out to have one, it's not specified anywhere.

If it is the same as the Frankie bottle, no worries though.. there is a workaround should it need such as put o-ring at bottle neck thread, softening the bottle in boiling water, etc.

I'm also waiting for my black boxer from fastech to ship.. all other item (sxk armor, yftk silicone bottle) in my cart is "ready to ship" except for the boxer.. aarrgghhh.. the agony..

Just checked the status of my order, and my blue Boxer clone is ready to ship! Unfortunately, one of the items in the order still has 2 days to go before it's in stock. Was surprised to see FT actually beating their forecast wait time for the Boxer.
