Hello to everyone.

I have just got my first ecig today. I ordered it from someone called java electronics.

At the moment Im a bit unsure of it. The taste isnt really anything like the taste of a regular cigarette.

I smoke marlboro lights. I was never a heavy smoker, but I started feeling the negative affects of my health, so I decided to try the e-cig.

The gurgling noise is putting me off. I read that the atomiser maybe flooded. how do I check / rectify this?

Whats this about "dripping" and "priming" the carts?

Also, I don't seem to be getting a lot of smoke, once ive secondary inhailed, its only just visible when I blow it out. Maybe im not inhailing hard / long enough?

If anyone can answer any of my questions in very very simple terms, that would be great. I am very confused!!!

Theyre all pretty much the same questions we all asked, hehe

The taste is different, and will be, sweeter then regular smokes.

Use it for an hour or so, THEN try a regular, and you will really notice a difference.
Most like it, but it is different.

The gurgle is kind of normal with some kinds. It just means its really wet. As long as your not getting raw fluid in your mouth, its fine.
What Type of E-cig is it? I can look up that site i guess.
Not all give the same results.

Dripping Smoke juice into the carts so called "Cotton" to keep it wet, if it starts to dry out.
Priming as i know it, you give a couple short puffs, like a Cigar, to pre heat the atomizer a bit.
You can drop a couple drops onto the atomizer, but a lot dont like to do that all the time.

oh, want to add, make sure your batteries are Fully Charged or they seem to run out quickly, but the light will still come on. They need about 3-4 hours after they run down from the first full 8 hour charge. If they run down, sometimes the light will still look good but there is not enough juice to get the atomizer to heat right, and you get less smoke, even if the Cart is full.

I feel I'm still too new to e-smoking to be giving a lot of advice but I noticed that when my att gurgles that if I pull out the cart and take a drag or two straight from the att that seems to shush it up a bit. But I woldnt suggest this depending on the type of e-cig you have. I hear some of them have exposed attomizers and that would be bad 8-o but mine's a 901 so its perfectly safe for me

You are right though Ryle, now you say it, I have read some who blow into the atomizer from the battery end to clear it sometimes.

Oh ok, its a 901, I think. Looks like thats all they carry there.
Its should be pretty good.

my instructions simply said twist the battery in and it will be ready to use. so I did.
Then when I thought there wasn't much smoke, I gave it 4hrs, but the light went red, indicating it was fully charged. Ill probably charge it overnight tonight.

I do notice that the ecig leakes a bit from where the cartridge connects. is this normal? what can I do about it?

Not much, wipe it off, they do seem to get all wet inside. Guess thats better then dry.

Mine goes green when its full, but leave it on a bit more then the first time it changes color. I noticed, its still not done, but the light changed.

the little leak doesn't bother me, i just wipe that off on my pants, but i got a bad habit of sucking raw juice into my mouth .. that sucks in a big way lol. first time I did it i wanted to throw up. Now i just want to kick myself each time. Too much suction I think? lol


oh and a thought.. If you wipe off the brown part of the cartridge before you stick it in you get no/almost no leakage .. if you care to bother with it that is

ive just had another go on it. still not a massive amont of smoke. ill give it a big charge.

Its just really wet inside. and the wet stuff is going into my mouth sometimes, which tastes very sweet and unpleasent. (i think I need to remember not to point it upwards)

It also seems very harsh on the back of my throat. I have to drink a bit of water after using it. Is this normal? will it go away once I get used to it?
should I try some other flavours? I like menthol cigs in real life. so I might try menthol flavour...... but someone on here said they are an acquired taste???

Im a bit worried about testing it too much, as a couple of people on here have said it has made them vomit, due to too much niccotine.

I smoke the high nic carts and suck on this thing like a pacifier from the time i wake up til i go to bed (granted about 30% of its just chewing but still) I've successfully made myself dizzy and gotten a headache but no vomiting or urge to (except the initial reaction from the pure juice itself of course)

I had the same issue with the throat thiing, mine was like this annoying itch sort of thing but I got used to it after a few days. I think using some of the JC juice helped with that though, its really mild and smooth but I prefer the carts that came with the 901 to be honest, I think the JC is a bit too smooth but no annoying throat issues from it.

BTW where are you from mr_mitch? I got a bottle of JC's menthol (the one that comes with the sample pack) that I've used all of 5 drops out of I didn't like it but I'm not a big menthol person

my charger is like... disco lights. theres a red and a green on the plug.
and the part that the ... goes into keeps flashing red, then bright blue.

the instruction book seems to of been translated from a foriegn language or something, so its hard to make sense of

99% of people wont ever OD on nicotine this way, just my opinion. Just low amounts , you would have to Hoover down 3 carts in one sitting, and then, the battery would g dead first, hehe
It does taste bad raw. Just means the atomizer is not hot enough, and your getting raw juice. Try priming it first till you get the hang of it. I am still trying to get the preasure/draw right, I still get juice too, but for me, its normally a low battery I see now.

Some do have their throat dry a bit, its the PG in the juice, it soaks up moisture. I am getting used to it already, think most do.

All the Flavors and manufacturers and brands and companys juice is ALL different. You can get and try different flavors, i have 7 i have been trying, not done with them all yet.

The menthol i havent tryed yet, but i read it isnt the same as say a Newport. more like mint.
I think the whole E-cig and everything about it is a learned/acquired taste, hehe

I find the slower and easier you suck it, the better the smoke ( Vapour as its named ) comes out your mouth. But the same applies ....Blow out slowley for best satsfaction.

what is priming it? I did see a post about it somewhere, but it seemed a bit complicated for me?!

If the atomiser isnt getting hot enough, will an overnight charge cure that?
