Hello all,

So forums have helped me in the past with a lot of things and so i did a google search this morning and found this forum...

I literally decided to try ecigs this morning! haha.. I've been a smoker for 15 years now.. in between i quit for a year.. i have never been a heavy smoker (about 10 cig a day) and it doesn't bother me when i don't smoke for a weekend a week or two etc. Especially now that we have a baby i don't smoke at home at all.. just at work.. and i don't smoke 2 hours before i go home.. i know that really doesn;t do much..

I've always been hesitant on trying ecigs cause your read those articles about not knowing what ur inhaling and the side affects are not known due to them being new.. but i thought it can't be worse then:
1) smell
2) tar
3) carcinogens
4) teeht
5) breath
6) etc etc

I want to get off them.. i've tried those fake cigs that have mint inserts like 7 years ago but didn't work!
So i did some research this morning and i came to the conclusion that i will buy the 510 and i want it TODAY so i will be walking to esmokers Canada
Contact Us
which is 10mins from work.

i plan on getting non nic and nic liquids so my question which i couldn't find anywhere is..

I smoke/ed Canadian Belmonts, Du Maurier light/Extra light and when i bring back cigerettes from the US i get Marlboro Silver or Gold..

what nic level should i be looking at?

looking at getting either of two kits

http://esmokercanada.com/510-t-e-cigarette-kit/esmoker-510-t-deluxe-starter-kit

i am assuming both are automatic cause i don't want the manual

Thanks and looking forward to trying these ; >

Welcome to the forums!

I smoked about the same amount as you when I finally quit, although my cigs were a bit stronger (Marlboro Blend 27). I started at 18mg and now I'm down to 12mg. Since I believe you were using "Lights" maybe start at 12mg and see what it does. You can always move up or down from there.

Congrats to getting off the analogs!

Congrats on making the switch to ecigs!

Between the two kits, I'd consider the deluxe kit, if only for the extra battery. There is nothing worse then having a battery run out on you and having to wait around for it to charge when you want to vape. With two batteries you'll always have one ready to go.

If you're picking up your kit at a retail store, see if they have any samples available for you to try. I think one of the biggest challenges out there is finding a flavor close to your fav analog. Most people search endlessly and don't find one. I've tried Greensmoke and they have something close to Marlboro Light. Since you're vaping and not actually burning a cigarette you'll find you will never get the exact same taste as an analog.

As for the Nic, I started with 12. It worked for me, but I found I had to vape more often then I would normally smoke. I would have rather started with an 18. I smoked about 10 a day as well. Mind you, I wouldn't be able to go a week without an analog! so maybe 12 might work for you.

Good Luck!

thanks for the feedback ; >
definitely excited... i'm a tech junkie as well so it;s like when ur going to get a new smartphone or tablet ; >
i'll try the 12mg.. but like i mentioned i can go long periods of time without really craving .. who knows maybe i'm a chipper haha.

i was even thinking of just getting flavoured ones without the nic.. but i'll just get both.. i think i will get the deluxe package just cause it's on sale and u get an extra battery ..

it's not so well received in canada still so i think i still have to go outside in this COLD.. but i believe that's one of the reasons i smoke.. to just get away from my desk

i'll try and see if they have samples ; >

I understand that. I can do it at my desk at work, and I still go outside. I feel weird about vaping in a business that isn't a bar or lounge.

Couldn't agree with you more! I don't vape in public at all. I met a friend of mine at second cup the other day and he asked if he could vape, they said yes but I still didn't do it!!
On New Years we were at a club downtown Toronto and there was about 5-6 people vaping... so I figured I'd vape away! It was awesome :)
