I am fairly new to vaping. I just bought a eleaf Istick 30 wat with a Kanger Protank 2 and its leaking a little bit at the 510 connection. Will this mess up my new IStick? I tried the fix to add an extra o ring and it didn't work. Now I get a slight burnt taste sometimes. Is there any other suggestions? I do plan on getting another tank....Maybe a subtank. Haven't tried the sub ohm thing yet but I wanted to explore. I also wanted to explore dripping. I haven't found the perfect all day vap so i am into trying different juices and I've read that dripping is a good way to find it.

I love my Kanger Geni and Pro V2 with the wider air flow, it works very well i actually have an E leaf i'm borrowing from my girl (something happened to my VTR and the Shop i bought it from is replacing it) she uses a Nautilus from aspire and it always leaks onto the 510, and my Kangers will Occasionally dump onto the 510 from the air vents (though i dont seam to have this issue with my VTR or just maybe don't notice) . i think the istick is just prone to collecting the liquid just keep some qtips handy and wipe it down but we have never had problems with it

Kanger protank IIs are not really designed for higher watts. I don't know what the heads are like now, but they used to be rubbish. You can rebuild them, but then you run the risk of over heating that rubber stopper. And yes, they like to leak if you don't get the wicking exactly right.

I ended up giving all of mine away a year ago. There should be better options these days, even if it costs more. People seem to like the sub tanks and the nautilus.

This is going a little off topic, but the thread is the closest I've seen to the problem I'm having. Trying to set up a neighbor to vape. Got a 20 watt iStick and Kanger Protank II with mainly 2.4Ω coils. Here's what I'm encountering: When I mount the PT on the "stick" the first hit is fine. After that first one all others have a dry hit or burnt taste. I can take the PT off the stick and put it on a VAMO or other device and it works fine. Would the stick possibly be restricting the air flow for the PT? I'm thinking of trying one of the airflow bases like mentioned in post #2, but see there are several sizes. First, might the base help and second, which base would be appropriate?
Thanks very much for all replies....... I'm so darn frustrated it's starting to ruin the beginning of my weekend......:D
