I am new to this but from my experience thus far in moving up from a good old started "ecig" to a kick ... PSeven30 I've noticed the higher the wattage the stronger the hit, also the slower the draw the harder/hotter the hit. The experts will be able to give you really good comparison info with ohms vs. watts vs. batteries etc...but for now experiment and enjoy !

The evod 2 starter kit is a 3.7v battery and 2 coils. One 1.5 and one 2.0. For a warmer vape use the lower and cooler vape use the higher one. These kits come with 2 for new user to try both and see where they want to go after. For more clouds look into something vv like an istick or itaste.

Kanger eVod 2 - 650mAh Dual BC Clearomizer Starter Kit - EVcigarettes.com
It will output at a regulated voltage of 3.7V which will provide consistent vapor production throughout each charge

Try increasing your ratio of PG to VG in your juices for more throat hit...so look for juices maybe 70/30 and up. Take it slow and enjoy the journey. What nic level are you vaping at?

Welcome to ECF, by the way! There is a lot to read here, please enjoy! I've been vaping for 3 months or so with a vision spinner ii and smoktech tumbler clearomizers. I get plenty of throat hit and vapor production to suit my needs for now. I imagine I'll get into rebuildables in the not-so-distant future, but I am also totally content with my set-up at the moment. Good luck and happy vaping!

I have a kangertech evod2. I believe it's a 4.2v battery and the dual coil is 1.5ohm but according to all these ohm charts this isn't a good set up. I want a better "throat hit" does this mean I need a bigger battery?

Your 1.5Ω eVod 2 consists of two 3Ω coils, which means you'll be vaping at 4.5W (per coil). That may not be enough, frankly. I need at least 4 volts to power my dual coil Kanger atties.

You have two choices--you may get a Kanger eVod (or any other eGo-class) variable voltage battery or get a regular eVod (or a T3S) to go with your unregulated 3.7v eVod battery.

That said, if you're enjoying the vape, you don't need to change anything. Just enjoy--you're perfectly safe wattage-wise.

I bought this set up for my husband, and it doesn't do it for me. I prefer an Aerotank mini tank, and a Vision Spinner 2 battery. I use Kanger enclosed dual coils, the 1.8. Sweet-Vapes has great prices on hardware; so does Origin Vape. There are many new Ego style batteries that pack an amazing amount of power; even more than the Spinner 2 that is 1650mAh.
It just depends on how big you want your battery, and your time between charges. The Spinner 2 holds me for several days, and produces better vapor than a battery with less mah; which is why I'm thinking of buying a 2000mah battery. I can't recommend one because I haven't used one yet, but think you'll love the set up I mentioned.

Don't worry about the charts. They are just guidelines. The dual coils will drain your battery quicker and I really haven't noticed a better vape from them. Bigger batteries (Higher Mah) will just last longer, they are not more powerful. You may want to look at a regulated battery that will maintain the set power until the battery dies unlike the unregulated that decrease as the battery drains..

Hi! :)

Your battery is 3.7v. Your coils are dual making a total of 1.5ohms.

Before you get too annoyed with what you have, try a single coil 1.8ohm Kanger instead.

To be honest, I was sent 3 of the then-new dual coil Kanger clearomisers to review (9 or 10 months ago??) and the performance was dreadful. So much so, I needed to put them on a huge 18650 mod and crank it up above 10w to get even half-decent vapour.

.. and yet, I can happily puff away on an evod battery with a 1.8ohm single coil....

:)
