I'm a newish vapor as well started in october. i started with an ego style myself wish I had started with my current set up which is the mvp 2 with nautilus mini (the areo/geni tanks aren't bad either) The mvp 2 is super easy to use and you can charge other things with it, love mine so much I'm thinking of getting another as a back up or maybe getting the mvp 3 when it comes out.

All of you have been of great help in answering my questions :) . I think I am going to go with the iStick 30w though, theres a lot of little features it has that make me lean in its direction. The MVP 20 has a lot going for it as well, and if it wasnt for the iStick 30w I would probably have gone straight to it off the bat. But I think I favor the 30W for a lot of the reasons already spoken by others before me in here, primarily being it will give me a bit more room to grow. Theres a lot of other little reasons I won't go in to ;) but I want to thank all of you for your help :).

I had a few final questions, but I seem to have lost my train of thought...annddd found it.

Are there any differences between the Nautilus and the Nautilus Mini besides the smaller tank size? Like do they hit differently? The normal sized Nautilus is sold out on myvaporstore right now, and thats where I was planning on buying the iStick 30w from.

I was going to ask what an Ego Cone Cover was, but looking it up it seems to be an adapter where I could essentially put the nautilus tank on my eGO battery right? I guess that comes in handy if your normal MOD were to die, just screw the cone cover onto your ego and swap the tank over.

I'm trying to think this out, because I see replacement tubes. Aside from it breaking from bad handling (dropping it, slamming it, etc) is there any reason a tank should ever break on its own?

Oh and another question, since the istick has an internal battery, when it eventually dies is it replaceable or do you have to buy a new unit?

You will probably want more than 1 tank.

And the iStick should last you well over a year, at least the battery should. The battery doesn't usually die, it ages and holds less and less charge. When you first get it, it might last you 2 days. After a year, it might be down to just over a day. I imagine by then there will be people who could replace the battery in it, but looking at how far we have come in the past year, I can't imagine what will be available a year from now.

I'd get the iStick 30. And get a few tanks. I like the vivi nova S glass tank. it can take aspire bvc coils, but different ones than the nautilus takes. the vivinova tanks don't have controlled airflow, but they are inexpensive. Like $7, but I've seen them for $4.

You will hafta replace the coil in the tank after a week or 2. The vapor gets weak as does the flavor. You will sense it.

The tanks:

Well right now I'm on the fence between the iStick 30W and the MVP 20 (not to be confused with the 2.0). I'm leaning towards either one for different reasons and can't decide :p.

As for the Nautilus BVC, I thought it was an atomizer. The eGo I have (as far as I can tell) only requires that I unscrew the atomizer and screw on a new one when necessary.

The "pack of heads" that you refer to, are those the atomizers that you replace it with? And where do the coils come into play with the Nautilus?

Yeah my bad MVP 20. Force of habit saying 2.0. the 2.0 is end of line, obsolete.

Sure is fine by me. I am just a PM away.

Oh, and here is another fun thread that will give you all a decent idea of what top 5 vendors where people were buying juice from online a while back.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...discussion/304212-top-5-vendors-e-liquid.html

Lol, and you thought buying equipment was confusing. I will give you few juice vendors I order from. Granted, this are not what you would call gourmet juices, but they are quality at a VERY fair price (actually some of the best prices you will find from reputable suppliers).

Mt Baker Vapor
Mad Vapes Vape Wild
ITCVapes - this one has probably the best flavor at the same price point as the other two, but they don't have as many choices.

Those are great vendors with great prices. I do want to let new vapers know that different vendors will use different nicotine bases and different brands of flavoring. That means that strawberry or blueberry muffin or RY4 tobacco will probably taste different from every individual vendor.

Just like coffee cake is going to taste different at different bakeries. So your mission is to find what flavor at what vendor at what price point is right for you. It can take a while. At one point I had 150 plus little bottles of juice in my stash and I loved about a handful of them. So it is called the juice hunt.

Once you are into the hunt, here are a couple of threads where you can trade that juice so you can try other vendors and flavors. The explanation of how it works is on page 1. This saved me a lot of money and I got to try a lot of new vendors and flavors. It showed me the way to my favorite vendors.

I also found a tobacco flavor I loved in the first 2 weeks of ordering online and vaped it every day for over 6 months. 3 months in I found a different vendor that I like a whole bunch of their flavors (I like the taste of their base and flavorings) and still order from them. So your juice is out there!

I wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who replied to me and gave me the information to help me make my decision. It's been a long, grueling night of trying to track down the best deals, looking for coupons, comparing different atomizers to each other, and looking for all the parts and pieces I would need, but I'm finally finished (6 hours later LOL (and now 8 after typing this post and getting sidetracked lol. I tell you, this medicine I'm on sure makes time go by fast)) and all my orders are placed. I guess I'm just really picky and wanted to be informed on everything and make sure I got the right deals. I did keep checking back every now and then, and the E-Liquid sites were a big help. I ended up looking through all the sites and I have to say, the one that RandyF mentioned last (Vape Wild) was amazing. A pretty good amount of flavors with nothing but near stellar reviews, and DEFINITELY the best deal out there that I could find. I mean, if you spend over $15 with them they give you free samples, and over $25 gets you free shipping. I believe I spent about $30 between 2 sampler packs, which equates to about 120 ML, which isn't even counting whatever free samples they send. Also, another big shoutout to DaveOno for bringing "myfreedomsmokes" to my attention. Where I was looking at spending ~$30 for the single Nautilus top, I ended up paying about $50 for a LOT of supplies (imo).

If anyone is interested after all the help I received from you guys, here is what I went with:
----------
From "myvaporstore":

Eleaf iStick 30W Kit - Black; $37.95

----------
From "myfreedomsmokes":

Aspire BVC Replacement Coil Heads (5pk) x 2; $10.95 each
Aspire ET-S BVC Glassomizer - 1.8ohm - Single - Blue; $6.95
Aspire ET-S BVC Glassomizer - 1.8ohm - Single - Black; $6.95
Aspire ET-S BDC Glassomizer (1.8ohm - Single - Stainless Steel); $5.56
Aspire Vivi Nova-S BDC Glassomizer (1.8ohm - Single - Black); $6.95
eGo Thread Cover; Small; $2.49
eGo Thread Cover; Medium; $2.49
Adapter Male 510 to eGo Thread; $1.95

I also added a 15% off coupon to all this that I found through google at "couponfollow" (Code: NEWMFS15)

Also, I want to point out that all 4 of the Glassomizer's I bought only total $26.41. The Nautilus is $29.95 all by itself.
----------
From "VapeWild":

2 x Vape Wild eJuice Sample Pack (60ml); $16.99 each
18mg Strength, 50/50 blend, No Flavor Boost (increases the intensity of the flavors by like 50% with the original flavoring being ~15% of total volume so it increases to 22.5% of the total volume), 10ml per bottle (12 total not counting whatever free samples)

Flavors: "Black Jelly Beans", "Blackberries", "Blue Lemon Squeezy", "Tiger's Blood", "Razzleberry", "Stars & Stripes", "Pink Bubbly", "Bloody Good Oranges," "Green Apple Envy", "Guava", "Raspberry Mojo", and "Lemonade".

I also used a coupon here for 10% off just for signing my email up with them (and it SAYS you should receive even more coupons in email but who knows)

----------

I believe the grand total comes out to be ~$130 after taxes, shipping & handling, discounts, and coupons. Which is close to what I was expecting to spend total anyway, but I ended up with a LOT more stuff than I would have otherwise without the help and advice I received from you guys. Every one of you guys taught me and helped me a lot, and just going through the process itself and researching the different pieces and looking for deals taught me a good bit as well.

I also want to talk a little bit more about "VapeWild" real quick. They're pretty awesome from what I've seen so far. First off, their pricing is pretty cheap. Almost all of their flavors are priced at $2.99 for a 10ml, with only their premium Tobacco flavors being priced differently at $3.99 for a 10ml. From there it goes, for the $2.99 bottles, 20ml = $4.99; 30ml = $6.99; 60ml = $11.99; 120ml = $19.99; 240ml = $34.99; and 480ml = $59.99. The premium Tobacco is a little bit pricier but also seems to be a good deal.

They also have Nicotine Strengths of 0, 6, 12, 18, and 24. VG / PG Blend options of VG80/PG20, VG65/PG35, VG50/PG50, VG35/PG65, and VG20,PG80. A Flavor Boost option that brings out the flavors in your vape even more (from 15% to 22.5% flavor volume)

Last, they have really good deals even on TOP of their small prices. If you order over $15 worth they give you free samples (some people said they got more than 1 so I'm not sure how many). If you order over $25 worth you get free shipping. If you sign up with your email they almost instantly email you a 10% off code. And finally, for every $1 you spend you get 10 reward points and 1000 points if you refer someone to the site through a few different methods (which I will NOT be doing here so no worries, I'm not trying to fish). 1500points = $5 off, 2500 = $10, 4500 = $20, and 10000 = $50. Would take a while, but if you're ordering liquids through them anyway its a nice extra bonus.

----------
Thank you again to everyone that helped me get started! You guys are the best! I can't wait for all my equipment to get here in the mail so I can start using all of it. And now a shoutout to everyone who helped me in some way :)

RandyF: For all his help, and especially for "VapeWild" (seriously, I looked a bit and found nothing comparable in price)
inspects: For reminding me that the iStick 30w was available at "myvapestore"
ShariR: For sharing some of her wisdom and for her overall kindness
Remi Love: Even though you threw a giant brick wall of text out there, it had some pretty good information ;)
DaveOno: Didn't save me any money overall, but got me a lot more equipment for the price I was expecting to spend :D

And finally, to everyone else who replied to my post,

Frenchfry1942, Globetrotter, Kloverz158, LeftHandBlack, thomas I, Evie Luv, bryonlr, dgm76513, MoxieMarrie, Teelux, and anyone else who strolled into the thread, saw my super long posts, and quietly turned around without flaming me :p

No matter how little or how large an amount of advice or suggestions everyone gave me, believe me, I looked up every single thing that was mentioned and took it all under advisement. Thank you all for giving me a little bit of your time and for all of your effort in helping me make my decision  .

Woohoo it's gunna be Xmas all over again when your postie turns up with all that vapemail! Congrats on some great choices. I just recently stepped up to the istick with mini naughtilus and it's awesome I only have to charge it every 2nd day! The glass tank makes the flavour so much better too. I haven't tried other glassomizers so I'm keen to know what you think of them once you've tried them for a while. I also have some samplers coming from vape Wild ordered last week, but I live in Australia so they are probably still at least another week away. I have heard the juices taste better after they have sat for a while in a dark place. Check out comments on steeping juice. I also have ordered juice from nicoticket they are more expensive but they also get rave reviews. Looking forward to hearing how it's all going for you once your all set up!

I thought you were going to have an issue buying eGo threaded tanks for a 510 threaded device, but it looks like the iStick comes with a 510 to eGo adapter. Glad you got it all sorted, you made some good choices just getting into it and it should make the transition fairly easy. There are people that never need anything more than what you will be receiving, but judging from this thread, I expect to see you in the advanced sections in the furture:thumb:

Yeah they mention it in a couple places on their website to let the juices sit for a while to enhance the flavors. Don't know if I'll be able to wait once they get here though :p .

Hello and to welcome ECF. You have gotten a lot of good advice. Remember Youtube is your friend. There are many reviewers out there and they can help you decide which will be best to suit your needs. P Brusardo's are very informative. There are quite a few reviews on the Istick and the MVP.

I did get a lot of good advice, there are a ton of friendly people here. I've actually already stumbled upon his page and watched a few of his videos. I like how he lists the good and the bad at the end of them. I think I watched his MVP 20 and SVD 2.0 videos, not 100% sure on any others.

I'm not sure if it comes with one in the package. I was just doing the research on everything I was looking at and thinking about getting and realized that a lot of the tanks said they were for eGo and wouldn't fit a 510. Then I just googled something along the lines of "510 to eGo adapter", found out about them, and snatched one up from where I was already getting the tanks :).

Just went and double checked on the iStick and it DOES come with one lol. Oh well, cost me an extra $2 but now I at least have a back-up adapter. :D

Nice to meet you as well! And yes, it is quite an amazing place :). Everyone I've talked to so far has been very kind and patient with me and I've learned a lot from them already. Waiting for my gear is killing me though, especially knowing how much nicer the vape is going to be compared to this eGo I have :p

Hello Smokpurp, Glad to meet you. I'm very new too. Any adjustable battery up to 4.8 or 5.0 works for me. And any dbc (dual bottom coil) clearomizer, although my strongest tthroat hit and cloud are from my Kanger T3S. I'm so new your better getting advice from these other members. I can say I'm not looking for anything better now, I was a heavy duty smoker and now a very satisfied vapor, and the Kanger is cheap, yet suprisingly better than my $20 dbc. Welcome to Vaping, good luck to you both. B-)

It is good to meet you as well. I actually have an Eleaf iStick 30 watt on the way as we speak, along with a handful of glassomizers and juices. Currently I'm using a gas station eGo I found called "Vapin Plus". I have the 1100 mAh version and it came with a 2.5ml Atomizer and 2 extra atomizers. Its actually a rather nice find for being a gas station item in my opinion. The battery has lasted a long time (I think I've only charged it once since Thursday) and its definitely a step up from e-cigs. We're trying to quit smoking and so I went out to find something to help with the cravings (they were especially bad since I didn't want to quit, but the wife was trying to and didn't want me smoking around her or she wouldn't be able to). Started with an e-cig called "Vuse" which I picked up from the same gas station (we had also tried Blu about a year ago but the charger pack kept breaking and wouldn't charge). They just did NOT hit at all and gave me very little ease to my cravings.

Went back to the same gas station 2 days later and they had just received this eGo in store with like 10 different fluid bottles or so and I had to pick it up. I had always heard the ones you put fluid into were supposed to be a lot better than the normal e-cigs, but I had never really done any research. I have to say, it has actually impressed me and I'm really looking forward to my iStick getting here. While I was still using the Vuse e-cig I was smoking at work and anytime I went somewhere without the wife, but since I bought the eGo Thursday night (its Sunday morning now, 2:15 am) I have only smoked one cigarette (and that was earlier tonight, around like 8 PM), and I'd like to attribute that to the fact I haven't been to sleep yet this weekend lol. Once I started up this thread Friday night, between the overwhelming amount of support and kindness I received from people and the hunt for my gear, I just could not fall asleep. I usually like to do my research on something before I buy it, and being completely new to vaping, I spent about 6 hours researching and comparing different prices and different products before I finally made my purchases lol.

My last post before I went shopping on the internet was at 1020 PM. Next thing I know, I'm sitting here clicking the "checkout" button and it was 4 AM! And THEN I spent another 2 hours typing out a thank you note for everyones help, advice, support, kindness, recommendations, etc. and showing em what I ended up getting lol. All the sudden it was 6 AM and the wife wanted to go to WalMart and I just stayed up the rest of the day. And now its 2 30 AM on Sunday and I still haven't slept. Don't know, guess its just cause its the weekend. Was tired as heck before dinner, but afterwards I caught like a second (third? fourth?) wind and felt, and still feel, wide awake.

I do have another question though that I've been trying to find the answer to for a good while now. My eGo is an Atomizer with a tank I can store the liquid in and just vape away. I had bought 2 flavors, Blueberry and Menthol, to try out with it. Started on Blueberry, and it seemed to last a good while, but between looking around at a lot of posts I thought I had read that you should always try to keep your tank above like 1/3 of its max. When the Blueberry got down to about 10 ml I decided to top it off with the Menthol. This Menthol is lasting FOREVER though. I'm wanting to go back to try Blueberry again, but I don't want to waste the Menthol.

My question is this: If you let the tank run dry before refilling it with a new flavor, will it damage or hurt anything (and, how soon SHOULD I be refilling my tanks, and does it differ between an Atomizers, Clearomizers, Glassomizers, and any other tanks I may be missing?) . I've also seen different posts saying "Yes" and to top it off as soon as 2/3 tank and as late as 1/3. I've also seen posts saying "No" and to just let it burn out before going to a new liquid. My Menthol is almost completely dry in this tank right now, but I'm worried I might be doing damage to the Atomizer or the eGo itself. So far the Atomizer hasn't made any noises at me, but its getting pretty empty in that tank and I'm concerned.

P.S. I know I said I wasn't tired. Well that changed really fast once I started typing and reading the preview to see if I missed anything. I'm about to be dead to the world. In fact, I was dozing off as I was trying to wrap this post up. My apologies if anything towards the end doesn't make sense. I would be planning to say one thing, start typing it out, doze off, then wake up and have no idea what I was doing or trying to say
