Hey all!

So the vape craze hit my workplace a few weeks ago and I've accomplished what I thought was never possible. Smoke free for a week now! I'm really enjoying vaping and already noticing health changes. I hit my cig pretty hard and hefty though, was a pack a day smoker.

So I set myself up to start with the 1000mah Ego-C passthrough, a few clearomiser tanks with wick atomisers, and a bunch of 10ml flavours (18mg nicotine) to kick it off.

So far, the battery is sweet; use it ALL DAY and it hasn't died yet. The throat hit is pretty good on it, I feel like I want it stronger though with more vape per puff, any suggestions?

Also a newbie question :p . What's with mods? Are those just different style batteries? I'm finding that my cig looks plain and I wanna pimp it out

Thanks yall, happy vaping!

Welcome to the cult :p. A great life change for sure. For a better throat hit you can try a few things. Find out what the pg/vg percentage is of your juice....try other mixtures. You can upgrade your tank. On a fixed voltage battery, you can put a lower ohm coil on for more vape production. I like the kanger aerotank personally. One of the biggest steps up other then tanks, is trying a variable voltage/wattage battery, like the innokin MVP 2 or the itaste vv v3 (same as mvp 2 but smaller, with less battery life, but both have "pass through" meaning you can vape while charging).

Mods come in two basic variations, regulated and mechanical (its a little more decided then that, but this is gor simplicities sake). A regulated mod is better for beginners since they have built in protections. Mods are the way to go if you want big vape :p. There's a lot to learn though: battery safety, coil building, wicking etc...but I love it.

Forgot to mention what a mech is....its basically a battery tube with no circuitry or wires. Users control the output based on the coil they build. It can give you some of the best vape production, but is the most dangerous. If you build a "sub ohm" coil (resistance below 1 ohm) too low, the amp drain can be too much for your battery, causing a thermal run off/explosion, turning that pretty and shiny mod into a pipe bomb. It can be safe if you take the correct precautions, but these days many regulated mods can put out as much vapor as all but the lowest sub ohm set ups. I run my mechanical mod at around .55 ohms....a 30 watt mod could match that and have the benefit of safety circuits and consistent voltage/vape production until battery needs to be charged. A mechanical suffers a drop off as your battery drains, so you need lots of batteries :p

Welcome jessyd417 to ECF. Here's a break-down for different ratios of PG/VG ( this will effect your vaping experience )

100% PG: Very strong throat hit, with clean flavors and not much vapor production.
80/20 (PG/VG): Still very little vapor production, and a moderately strong throat hit.
70/30 (PG/VG): A little more vapor, a little less throat hit.
60/40 (PG/VG): Decent vapor with a noticeable, but not to overwhelming throat hit.
50/50 (PG/VG): An even mix, with quality vapor clouds and a soft throat hit.
40/60 (PG/VG): Noticeably larger vapor clouds and a reduce throat hit.
30/70 (PG/VG): Good vapor production and a minimal throat hit.
20/80 (PG/VG): Excellent vapor production and a very small throat hit.
100% VG: Very little throat hit, with noticeably sweet flavor undertones and massive vapor production.

Congrats on a smoke free week. Keep up the good work and before you know it, you will not even think about cigs anymore. Welcome to this forum, too. Anything you want to know and any experience you have will be something someone else knows about and will help you with. Best bunch of people anywhere!:)
