Thanks Steampunk, your words are too kind. After a long while with a suckaton and the booster, I switched to a 15mm genisis which meant making the hole in the top plate larger and putting a finishing washer around the connector to make sure it was dead center. This also made the electronics a plug that can be pushed out when necessary. With a 18650 there was a bit of extra length made up with a magnetic spacer, so economizing the switch a bit an using a very flat positive connector, 2 18350's will fit as well. After a long weekend's work getting Bigblue's evercool circuit built, now there is another plug to fit in there and it is quite nice with this too. I don't really want to put a hole in the bottom, so if you pop the bottom plate off the trimmer is just inside.
Willy, that is pretty much the right stuff, but here is a better price, add ~$5 for shipping. Also one cut is free so I got 2 3.5" pieces (same price would be for 4" too :/ )

Only thing is, these plugs are a finishing washer and epoxy putty around the connector, but then just electrical tape around the components and I would like to entomb them in silicone instead, would this harm the electronics??? I would like to use silicone as it would be more secure/ tougher but could be picked off later if needed.
