Brass Monkee RDA Problem

So I just got my Brass Monkee atomizer from Standard Functions today in the mail, I was super pumped took it out and started to try a couple simple single coils to test it out. Id build them throw them on my iTaste mvp v2 and it would always read NON. At first i thought maybe the center post just wasn't making connection so i screwed it onto my chi you to try and test fire it because i knew that it was a working coil and it started the smoke a little like it always does right before the coils start to glow but this just did nothing but immediately heat up my battery extremely fast. If anyone has any info to help me out id be greatly appreciated. It so beautiful just sitting in the box :'(

You've got a short Tyler. I suspect it's in the Brass Monkey. Try testing the resistance between a center post and one of the outer posts with no coil in it. There should be no reading. If you get a low resistance reading the atty has a short in it. I don't know the Brass Monkey, so I don't know where exactly it would likely come from, but the center posts are isolated from the outer posts and 510 connection also has insulation between its center post and the outer threaded sleeve.

Don't fire it again until you have this fixed, or get a new one that works right. If there's a hard short your battery will vent if you hold the button for too long and it may only take a second or two.

I dunno what happened but I came home from work today and said what the hell ill try it again. So I take it as much apart as I can without force and sprayed it out with and air gun put it back together, built a coil threw it back on my mvp and the vape gods blessed me with an actual stable correct resistance reading. I am so pumped totally made my ....ty day!

I know I am new but I would be leery of that. It could be just a wire touching somewhere or it could be a major issue with the atomizer.
