Simply stated. I've vaped mechs for awhile and haven't had either. My nemesis has some brass on it, which looks cool now that it's had wear and tear and got a patina.

SO I'm looking for the best choice for a mod that I can just buy, clean off its coating, and let it age as I use it for a daily driver. I'm wanting 22mm and i have so many nemesis already I'm looking for something new, unless another nemmy is my best bet. I'm looking for a clone, and 18650 mode is preferred.

+1 on Stingray & Nemesis

If you want a good patina on it, I recomend you get a brushed finish or ruff up the finish a little if polished to encourage a faster and deeper patina.
Not 22mm, but here's my brass Origin clone in hybrid mode with the Aqua

It has gotten darker since, and I'm contemplating getting some amonia to forse a crazy patina on it and seal it with some clear acrylic laquer.

Be different. Be unique. Buy an XXIX mod.

It's probably the hardest hitting mech mod on the market. Voltage drop under load is less than 0.01v.

good luck getting one though haha. the lists are closed for the final serialized batch. they are rolling out to b&ms soon though, so hopefully will become more accessible.

i love my surfrider and xxix :)

as far as something available..the Vanilla in copper w/brass accents is nice. i love mine. hits like a mule kicks. you still have to clean the threads and contacts about every 3 days. small price to pay. looks absolutely awesome with the brass monkee. i aged the brass cap and had it drilled to 5/64ths. its a player for sure. good luck.

I held a copper vanilla at my local B&M on Saturday, I was surprised at how hefty it felt. Walked out with a Black Stingray though, my favorite mod of all times!

I own 3 Nemesis clones by Hcigar in brass, copper and stainless. Now the copper seems bit heavier than either the brass or stainless which seem to be about the same. The copper has about a .1 voltage drop with my 1.8 ohm micro coil in a kayfun. Now the same Kayfun with the stainless is .17 and the brass is .15. So in my opinion not much difference at all really. All 3 tests where done using the same battery taking a voltage check with just the nemesis then the Kayfun attached and the difference given.

I have had a brass origin clone, nemesis clone (actually 2 by hcigar), and sentinel. None of them compare to my copper Vanilla or Caravela clone.

I'd say go with copper, not just because it's the new cool awesome thing, but because, if it's made well, there is no comparison with brass, let alone stainless steel.

My copper vanilla was rather easily obtained. Topped with my Zenith V2 with brass afc ring and a copper ice dt from 2 puffs, it's georgeous.

My copper Caravela clone by ehpro has copper contacts, floating pin, and hits nearly harder than my vanilla. Only thing is it's 23mm, not 22. Despite that tiny issue, it looks like sex with my Stillare v2.

Both are single tube design in 18650.

I don't use button top 650s. My FT velas were kinda junky out of the box; surprise:) . I rounded and polished the end caps. Tuned the switch. Cut a few extra pins.

ATM my 2 FT velas are my favorite 18650 mods. Just something about a rounded switch button and one piece tube. Near impossible to magnet upgrade but I put some slider washers above spring to stop lock ring scratch. It is working fine w/ pretty decent voltage drop numbers. Looks sweet too.

+1 for the XXIX!! Love mine can't put it down.

But if you're looking for an inexpensive clone go with the Turtle Ship available in SS and Brass (I have the V1 in brass but the V2 seems to have a better locking ring)
IMHO it hits way harder the my Nemmys only reason I still use my Nemmy daily is cause the KFL+ wouldn't sit flush with my TS and I'm kind of nit picky about those things. Every other atty I have sits flush on it

Hope you find what you're looking for!:toast:
