Brass or Copper springs?

Hey, guys. Was wondering if anyone's managed to locate brass or copper springs at a hardware store that'll replace the ones in the button and the battery post. I'm going to head over to Ace tomorrow and do some digging, but thought I'd throw a quick feeler out here first to make sure the work hasn't already been done.

Please let me know if you find anything. I have been doing a web search and can't seem to find much in the way of springs. I did find some SS 5/32 which I believe converts to just under 4mm which one of my button springs is also just under 4mm at mcmaster carr but it isn't brass or copper.

The new version of the button that will be coming with the next batch of Stealth's will have a brass spring in them. I'm hoping there'll be enough extra buttonss to be able to bought. In addition to the brass spring (it will come with 2 - one soft push and one firm push) it has a redesigned top cap as well as a stainless steel lock ring.

And as you see, I am already justifying to myself the need for button replacements! That and a couple of those sweet looking stainless steel bottom caps! When I get #008 back, it will live a life of luxury after the torment it went through the first months of its existence.

Couldn't locate a brass spring, but I did find a flathead screw that fits in perfectly. Polished it up, Noaloxed the threasd, and it seems to be hitting better. I was going to do some voltage tests, but I can't find my meter.
