Hey everyone, I own an SS GGTS by Imeo #812.

I have bought a brass battery telescope and Gold bottom cap (I dented my original brass GGTS bottom cap by dropping it on concrete ) from COV.

I was wondering if the gold bottom cap is gold plated brass or just brass like the original it will replace?

Are there plans on making a gold plated battery telescope too if the new bottom cap is indeed gold plated?

And if I plan on running two 18650's in the future, will I need dual telscopes plus whatever piece may be released to join them, or something else

Thanks,
Stinky

I am pretty sure it is just brass I havn't seen imeo mentioning anything being gold plated yet and if it is gold there is a good possability that Bruce had it done himself. Although I think the gold plated price would be around 100 bucks.

As for running 2 18650 wiki is down but I am thinking you would need 2 or 3 battery extenders unfortunatly as of yet you can't run 2 telescopes unless imeo makes a new tube although that would be cool and IMHO look better then 2 or 3 extenders. Or maybe a longer telescope tube one that even fully collapsed min battery is 18650 with that you would probably only need 1 extender when fully extended.

Thanks for the reply fright. I paid the same for the "gold" bottom cap as I would have paid had I bought it in nickel, so it must just be solid brass then (I had no idea gold plating would drive up the price that much!).

Is the battery extender the part that the telescope screws into towards the atty side of the GGTS? If so, I would probably prefer two or three of these hooked up together (Or even a long one) vs dual telesopes+joiner (Or even a long telescope).

As I understand it from other threads, Imeo has made pieces that are extension sleeves but was sending them with other parts for making a full GGTS from a Stealth. If I am incorrect, Imeo will make it right but that is my understanding that some should hit when the general release of the Stealth shipment goes out.

I rarely ever polish my SSGGTS(probably polished it 2 times since I've had it), I just wipe it down with a microfiber cloth after using.

Just got an Iatty, but I really want an SS GGTS. I will probably grab one sometime in the future. As it is, I am about to give up on the engravings. I just CANNOT see me selling my GGTS, even at a high price with engravings. I just love it so much, it is going to be my workhorse...FOREVER.

Bruce will have SSGGTS in less than a week psycho:)

I want an SS GGTS, but that is only to save the engravings on my aluminum GGTS. As the engravings are already really faded (technically, only the wings are almost gone, but the serial number is going too), I am not that worried anymore. My fiance got me the GGTS so I would never need another mod, so the Collector Value of my GGTS is kinda pointless to me! Since I could never see me putting it on the shelf to sit and could never sell it, I think I will only use it and polish it when needed, no longer worrying about the engravings. I got a GGTS and it is a workhorse!

Dude!!!!!! You're a man after my own heart -- mine get scratched and dinged (I, too, have dropped #080 from my seat on the pickup, making that heart-rending whack on a parking lot :() but I don't have them to look at, I have them because they kick ...!!!

And I can use my Iatty on my SSGGTSs but it didn't fit my aluminum ones, the difference is maybe 2mm...

And that is the problem I may encounter. If so, I will find any way I can to fix it, but since I don't have the Iatty yet, I don't know if the adapter or rethreader to adapter will work or not. But, I have recently come to the conclusion that while I may regret losing the engravings, the GGTS has survived a crap ton of my screw-ups (dropping on ground, having the atty get threaded in, etc.) and will continue to do so, so not using it would be criminal.

On 493 my alum TMF GGTS I had to use 510 to 901 adapter and 901 to 510 adapter with an o ring and the brass top cap to use my iatty. It's posative pin is slightly to short to use the rethreater and 901-510 adapter method. The o-ring I used was to cover the little air notches in the top of the adapter to require air to go through the draw controll.

These are the adapters I used.
510 to 901/808-D Adapter
and
901/808D Battery to 510 Atomizer adapter

However my iatty chewed up the threads on my first adapter so I had to order another.

Also just a warning the iatty will chew up your connector cap if you decide to use it without the adapters. The ss threads are much sharper and stronger then the alum threads
