Moin,
I got a common cold, while working for my yacht club, a few month ago. And I was not able to get ird of the cough for 8 weeks afterwards. I had to wait for a train back home in Osnabrueck Germany, a few weeks ago, and there was a vape shop called Dampferoase near trainstation. They did a great job of explaining e-cigs to me, and I left the shop with a Kangertech EVOD starter and two liquids. I got rid of the cough within 8 days!
I next did fall into a trap. A fellow sailor has an internet shop selling ecigs and liquids. So I ordered two more liquids, and two eGo-t clones. But eGo tastes bad, due to the cheap plastic of the tank system. The tank tastes ugly even without liquid. The liquids had also been disposed into the kitchen sink.
So I started to educate myself using the web, joined dampfer-forum and e-rauchen-forum, and watched a lot of youtube videos. I joined the #ecf chat channel a week ago. And macstrat asked me yesterday what my nickname in the forum is, to add me on friends list. *blush* I was not registered to ecf-website yet. Thats what I just did a few hours ago.
My current hardware: Two original EVOD batteries, two eGo clone batteries, a Kangertech 1000mAh twist, a Vision 1300mAh Spinner, two EVOD tanks, two Cisco 306, one Protank mini.
My current software: about 30ml left from the first 18mg PG/VG mix, 100ml of 36mg PG, 250ml of PG, 250ml of VG. Several flavors from Inawera, The Perfumers Apprentice, and Herrlan.
I'm currently mixing one liquid per day. Not all went fine, but none had been so bad like the liquids I ordered from my fellow sailor.
Next orders will likely be: More flavors, especially Herrlan, a liter 36mg PG before the law disallows ordering it in bigger bottles then 10ml and restrict nicotine level to 20mg/ml, either an l'Rider Robust or an iTaste VV/VW, and two iGo-S to upgrade dripping from 306.
The strongest attraction to vaping is the hacking aspect. Mix your own liquids, build your own devices. The Hacker Space Bremen has 3 more vapers, so we plan to invest in a lockable fridge as a poison cabinet and one day per week that is dedicated to mixing liquids and building vapers.
