Great mod but the firing button gets stuck sometimes which leads to continuous firing. Any idea how to fix this? I thought maybe a spring would help but there's not much room for one in there.

If you can unscrew the button a little and it works then try removing the nut on the 510 where it makes contact with the battery. Seems like sometimes these tubes are made a little short. Otherwise its just machined bad and might need the 10 dollar button replacement.
So if it works unscrewing the button a little or removing the anti rattle nut on the bottom of the 510 then you can sand that nut down a little. I'm assuming that nut is tightened all the way?
Sounds as if something is not seated correctly, or you have binding due to a poorly machined part. I’d do a full strip and thorough clean, checking all parts for burrs. When you re-assemble, the switch contact should screw all the way in. I see people loosen this off - you shouldn’t need to do that. If after all this you still have a problem come back as there are other potential fixes with the use of o-rings.
