When I first got my Grand I was using flat top Panasonic batteries. While they do work you have to press the button down further which can damage the firing pin. After I got the Delrin Button Covers they didn't work at all. With the cover on the button doesn't press down as far.

If you're having a problem with the button cover, you can stick a wad of paper or piece of tubing inside so it doesn't slide down as far on the button.

Congrats and welcome to Reoville! You are set, a REO with an RM2 on top is knockig on heaven's doors and waiting for it to be opened (or the mailman to arrive :D) If you haven't, take this time to read all the valuable info and tutorials that our good fellow Reonauts have posted. Soak that in, read the RM2 tutorial that SXD made, and when the mailman blesses you with that beautiful Priority Mail box you'll be ready to put all that info to practice. Good luck and may the patience (that we all lacked) be with you! :p

Sounds like you're set. There are a few extras you will want to order. But don't worry about that, a couple of hours after the first Reo you will be thinking about your next Reo and you can fill in the extras on that order. We do require pix when you get it, for drooling purposes only. Black wrinkle and metallic blue sounds purdy (Hoosier for pretty). Welcome to Reoville!

The battery button top is part of the switch. If there's a standard for button tops, then no one seems to follow it. The REO switches are designed for the ones on the AW IMRs. They are high-drain, safer chemistry and the right battery for your REO. Others may or may not work as well.

RTDvapor is the best source for these and a good source for the NiteCore charger. The listing of the latter says 12VDC cord included. That may or may not be the case for ones from Amazon (mine didn't come with it).

Congratulations and welcome to REOville.
