Welcome. Congrats. You might want to order a couple extra o-rings for under the RM2. Many don't even use them but they help to line up the cap air hole away from you as it's best not to have cap hole pointed down when vaping. Some REOs might, also, need the o-ring under RM2 to stop small bit of leaking but for many that is not needed. I have one older REO that I use one particular RM2 on and it does leak into well unless I use an o-ring. And, only for that particular pair I had to go to a thicker o-ring. That's my only REO and RM2 combo that even needs an o-ring. The others don't. Lots of us, too, have lost the o-ring that ships with the RM2. It's easy to forget it is on there and it sometimes sticks to bottom of RM2 and either drops off on floor or gets washed down the sink drain. Just saying. Might as well have a few extra.

I major second, third, fourth, etc., getting the RM2.

Hi Chriss,
Welcome.
I would also add a bit of the resistance wire that Rob sells. It's cheap and will allow you to hit the ground running when the box arrives.

Your new 2.1 takes 18490s, have you decided on a few batteries and a charger yet? trust me when i tell you not having a cell to pop in your new toy is....well...frustrating at best.

Have fun

Hi Izan. I'm an 18500 fan. I've already got a dingo and a poldiac in that size, and I do rebuild, mainly drippers, protanks and evods tbh. It's squonking I'm new to. I've got a handful of old skool 306s and 510s and I'll be getting the rm2 but I had a quick look at the compatibility table and I've ordered a $13 A7 mini to see if I can get that going.

There's a sticky on here, for dealing. With the A7, you should read it, cos they can short your reo out, & you'll have to fit a new spring if. It happens

+1^^^ Be careful with the A7. The center post is wobbly and can short out your REO quickly. Read the thread. Also....ESPECIALLY if you're getting the A7, I hope you grabbed a couple extra springs.

Squonking is a piece of cake...you'll get it down quickly. There's no real trick to it at all....just getting to a new habit takes a few squonks. You'll be amazed at how easy the REO makes vaping. Congratulations on your decision, and let us know what you think when you get it.

Chris plus one for the RM2 I was worried about the RB factor but it's so easy with YouTube video from superx and robs website videos you really don't need to have any electrical expertise. You do need to pickup a cheap multimeter, something like $10 here in the state's. So you can dial in your ohms. But again YouTube will guide you through all of that. Welcome to the club!

Hey Chris, I am also new to the Reo. Got a mini in the classies and it came with a Vicious Ant Cyclone which is great but I was so impressed with my Mini that I ordered a Grand from Rob along with a couple of RM2´S and all the spares due to postage costs. They arrived here in the UK in 5 days including a weekend. Great service from Rob. Cut to the chase and get the RM2, it is an amazing bit of kit. You will love your new Reo setup.........and if you don't, I will buy it from you. ;)

If your heart is not set on a Mini Chris, consider the Grand if you want to go lower ohms and for longer battery life and juice capacity. The Grand fits snugly in your hand and is smaller than it seems in the pictures in this forum. The vast majority of Reonauts recommend the Grand as the best first Reo to get.

About a month ago, I'd have tried to talk you out of a Mini and into a Grand. But after having an 18500 sized mech now, I'm liking 'em too. They're a good match for 2.5 ml. Carrying a spare battery and juice bottle (19x35 carto tank (2.5 ml total) with short drip tip for me) in an almost matchbox sized inexpensive plastic two-battery case isn't that big of a deal. I can see where the Mini 2.1 would be nice in the hand.

You'll be glad to have the RM2, but as others advised, make sure you get a coupla spare post screws and a coupla spare RM2 o-rings. The former are tiny, easy to lose and hard to find, and I've lost a couple of o-rings with them clinging to the atty only to drop off in some random place.

You may want to hold off on a rebuild kit until you see what's coming with the new lower resistance setups, but definitely get a coupla spare hot springs for metal REOS for now.

Cheers!
